I don't think I listen to country music much. I don't think I listen to contemporary country music at all. I think I do have some country records but they're Loretta Lynn and Johnny Cash and Tammy Wynette. I even have Dusty Springfield singing Son of Preacher Man. But I don't have any current country music in my collection.

So when this popped up on my YouTube (that knows how to make me go down the rabbit hole) I was like, what on earth? And then I watched it. I would not think country music is the place where I'd hope I'd see some homoeroticism going on? And yet, there's this song.

I was hoping they would go all out gay and have them dance or hold hands or kiss. But alas, no. It's still pretty full of innuendo and hot looks. And  hot men dancing. Hot Damn indeed.

And there's even a tutorial on how to line-dance. I had no idea it could be this fun. Especially when the instructor seems to fill those jeans so well. I may not enjoy country music but if Cameron is an example of a country boy, sign me up.

So did you learn how to line-dance? Well, that's great because then now I have someone to practice with. Giddy up!

XOXO

  1. Country music has a long way to go yet. Im not a listener either of the genre....with exception to Dolly Parton and the older performers....and for some reason. I love Miranda Lambert's music

    1. Dolly is a national treasure, of course. I’m going to have to try Miranda Lambert? Not sure I’ve listened to her...

  3. I'm sorry. I was distracted by the hot man wearing boots which is a particular form of kryptonite for me. Again, you were saying? Sorry. The man wearing boots is way too distracting. I can't focus. But I love how there's this big ole truck thing in the background while the hot man in boots is trying to teach me how to line dance, and I'm thinking, gosh, he's HOT! I wonder if he could teach me how to two-step. Anyway...you get my drift. So I'm going to watch the video again and try, this time, to pay attention.

    1. That was my question, too! Johnny Cash is iconic. I have three of his records. And you are right. Everybody loves Dolly. Everybody.

  5. My musical tastes are pretty eclectic, but there's not a lot of country on my shelf. Patsy Cline, Conway Twitty, Garth Brooks...that's about it. A tone time I could do the line dances...as a former dancer, it was a benefit to be able to pretty much do anything. But, I had to watch anyway - - you know, to refresh my memory. ;-)

    1. Could you believe I think Garth Brooks is totally sexy? Daddy!
And you’re a former dancer? Awesome! I think line dancing in a gay bar would be hot. I like the idea of a bunch of men in tight jeans moving at the same time at the rhythm of music....

  7. Let us not forget Ty Herndon and how his career tanked after coming out. He was very cute and still is. My intro to country music was "Your The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly" by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty way back in the '60s.

    1. Oh, Ty. Didn’t I post about him here?
Loretta Lynn is necessary listening, imho.

  8. Interesting. I listen to country. I ride bike to country, the songs usually have a good beat. This song was okay. I thought his first song was better.

    1. Well, taking into account that country music is a cousin of rock and roll, I don’t find that surprising.
And I think his first song was good, too.

  9. Hot damn indeed! I was sure it was going to end like Carly Rae Jepson's Call Me Maybe. There was enough eye candy and innuendo to keep me to the end. And let’s compliment the tight jeans. 😜
