Oh, Cain....

I really don't know what to make of this, except that I like it.

For all of you music buffs out there, what is this? It's a mix of so many styles and rhythms that I cannot really put my finger on it...

XOXO

P.S. This is what @cainculto had to say and I immediately thought of @Debra and her altars!!

An offering on the Spring Equinox, Ostara. To Abundance, Fertility, and Creation. To the end of the old way and to the illumination of a New Path. To Love and to raising hell ! BLESSINGS🩸🥚🍗🖤

So fresh!!

I see Tejano, Banda, Cumbia, Native American, Santería, Hip Hop, Classical and Queer influences.

    1. I know, right?
I was counting the references and lost the lyrics. Then went back to the lyrics and lost the references. It happened three times.

I have to agree with Bob! Kind of like coming upon a car accident, but he is hot. But please lose the grills.

Not the accident by the side of the road comparison! But he's a LOT. I think the grills are a reference to Hip-hop and how Queer artists are kept away from it.

  3. I like the strings a lot, but the lyrics? "Deep Fried." I was laughing. Is it supposed to be satire?

    1. The strings are an absolute surprise.
And he's a Southern artist. Very much immersed in the traditions of the South. And the whole thing (both the song and the video) are both satire and critique of the scene down there.

  4. Big says,
It's .... I couldn't tell you what it is except ... different. An homage to the body parts he likes and those he wants others to sexualize? I'm with Huntley: LOse the grills - they're soooo two decades ago.

Well, and the nods to consumerism, homophobia, religion and the such.

  5. Obviously, I need to significantly ramp up the imagery on my altars, lol.

    1. Oh, he goes deep.
It's a fascinating approach to both music and the way people see 'others'.

Yes. And that's how I felt! I did get the song, though, and added him to my streaming. I love the rhythm.
