Oh, Mr. Stark.....
We know that there's apartment living and then there's apartment living. And I think this is the latter. I always find it fascinating when people who work on design or a design adjacent profession show us how they live. The solutions are always super creative and the results, well, mostly fabulous and inventive.
Notes: the chalkboard wall, the story of the pipe in the powder room and that kitchen! I also kinda love the idea of having the bedroom there but not 'there'. And the layering: I learned to love that from Mads, TBH.
And the bookshelf witchcraft? Do want.
XOXO
No, no, no to that horrible floor. I've walked on a floor like that and believe me, it is a slip, trip, fall hazard, especially after having a cocktail or two.
ReplyDeleteOhh I like the floor!
DeleteIt adds a lot of character. And he's got area rugs, so....
I didn't know you got THAT sloshed, though. TMYK....
XOXO
Girl............😂😂😂
DeleteBig says,
ReplyDeleteI kind of wish there had been "before" pictures. I agree with Dave, the floor is awful. That's a no, but the rest of it is nice; a cozy and serene feel to it all.
XOXO
Same.
DeleteBut he did say it was converted space, so I can imagine some perfunctorily serviceable office space or something like that....
XOXO
Okay, I love the floor, though I wouldn't run it everywhere. And, while the kitchen is small--and I have gotten used to a big kitchen at Casa Bob y Carlos--I love the cabinetry and the design.
ReplyDeleteAnd linoleum walls??? I'm looking into it.
xoxo
Same.
DeleteAnd I kinda love the tiny island he created (I did the same in mine). And yes! Linoleum walls!
XOXO
I can remember my second apartment when you come in the foyer I had my walls painted with black chalkboard paint. So when I had guests come over they could write fun messages or sayings or something naughty. And it would make me laugh all week. Then I'd erase the walls and we'd start over.
DeleteOh my God I love everything about it. That is so my style. A little bit of everything, not too much not too little, some color mostly neutral I love it. Not to mention Mr stork looks very much like the professor I used to date. He even sounds like them. I don't think you remember him Six....this is before you read my blog. He's the one that told me I was too salacious and demanded too much sex.
ReplyDeleteSame!
DeleteThe layout is just right, the placement of the furniture and the choices he made are pretty good. And I think you did mention the professor!
Salacious?? That's an ASSET! LOL
XOXO
