Dinner's served

On April 25th you can be Dining Out for Life.

Who would have thought that dining out, whether with family or friends would be both fun and help a great cause? April 25th is Dining Out for Life and you can help provide compassionate health care and services for people who suffer from HIV and health disparities around your area.

There's a list of cities and that take part in Dining Out for Life and you too, can help. I have plans to do Chicago with friends. I learned about it through MACS at Northwestern University and thought, why not? I know it's a school night and all that, but it's a great cause! We don't have to belong to ACTUP and chain ourselves to the Stock Exchange balcony or stage a die-in anymore to be activists. That was done for us many years ago. But the battle still rages on. We should give to our communities and to those who are in dire situations in life. It's the least we can do.

Remember, HIV is still around. We may have survived a plague and have PrEP and all that jazz but many are still affected. So why not be part of something bigger than us? Even if it's just for one night. Find out where you can go and eat for a cause: Eat out and be an activist.

XOXO

  6. @AnneMarie: Darn! Oh well, next year it is. But also, it's good to know which restaurants participate because then we can drop by even when it's not DOFL.
@Debra: I know, right? I thought so too.
@Walter: now this would be a great chance to get together with other bloggers!
@Bob: yes, it is! There's still things to do concerning HIV and AIDS.
@Bae: yes! And we get good food while doing it.
@Dave: LOL you crack me up.

    XOXO
