I like porn.
I watch porn.
I enjoy porn and porn performers and many people do, too. I know some people don't enjoy porn for many reasons, but I'm not one of those people, obviously. There's enough dick on this blog to cover California and I talk about porn and porn performers a lot. It's a topic that I've noticed few people talk about. People post porn and erotica all the time, but they don't TALK about it. It's like a dirty little secret or more likely, a guilty pleasure. Why don't we talk about porn more?

So I watched the Str8UpGayPorn Awards. Because of course I did. And it was fun, illuminating and actually tame, not at all what people would expect to be be a porn awards show. Oh, Kathy Griffin hosted and she was a hoot. And there was a tiny little bit of drama, when one performer kind of announced that he was 'retiring'. Fun, fun. And what did I learn? Well, for starters I learned the nom de porn of many incredibly attractive men that up until that day were kind of nameless. They were just beautiful bodies doing incredibly hot things on my screen. Today many of them have a name and I'm here to share some of those names with you. Because I care, of course.

The first one is Mr. Austin Wolf. He won the award for Content Creator. In other words, he's like an Instagram influencer and the product he's selling is his fantastic body. Fair enough.

As you can see, he's very talented. He's also over six feet tall, so I'm a fan. And he won one award that's related to the profession but that is one where the performer controls the output. JustForFans and the such have allowed performers to basically manage their image and increase their income while putting out very hot content. Kudos.

Then there was Blake Mitchell, who was awarded the Performer of the Year award.

Blake is super sweet and a quite intense performer. He usually boinks men his age (in their twenties) and has worked exclusively for Helix and Cocky Boys, and has talked about being bisexual in the business. I think he's very cool and very attractive. I also have a thing for men in glasses, natch.

Then, Adam Ramzi and Michael del Rey as best supporting actors.

Well, what could I say without sounding punny? So I won't say anything. An image is worth and all that jazz. Adam is extremely handsome. Damn.

Then a surprise: Rhyheim Shabazz as best newcomer.

 And I say surprise because apparently he started doing porn with a mask on and suddenly, poof! he was on Tim Tales handling that thing like it is nobody's business. He's quite the sight. He's also the only black performer to win a big award during this ceremony. Black performers are ver 'niche', apparently. but Ryheim is very popular, apparently, for obvious reasons. You should look him up. Especially that scene with Joaquin Santana. Joaquin is my hero.

I had no idea who Cade Maddox was but I have a place in my heart for Boomer. He was in Chicago during pride and I got to talk to him. He was a hoot! Absolutely funny and a total flirt, of course. And oh, this is how Boomer looks from the front (that he also uses to its full advantage):

And I'm a fan. He's been on this blog before, natch. Not only because I think he's sexy but because that boy can FUCK. In capital letters. Don't believe me? Find any of his scenes and you'll see he's a giver and a taker. And he takes to sex like there's no tomorrow. Yum.

Favorite twink was Theo Brady.

Very handsome. But if that's a twink I have no idea what I am. Really. The categories we put ourselves into make absolutely no sense. To me, this is a man, baby. Very sexy.

Best Daddy was Alex Mecum

I have no idea how they categorize Daddies or twinks. Alex is a daddy now? Ok. So I have reconfirmed that I'm into daddies. Alex is a very talented performer and he's very handsome. I believe he comes from a very religious background. He's got a very interesting backstory. This category added ten years to my definition of daddy. I Stan.

So that's just a sample of what goes on in the mind of pornographers and the public (who I imagine voted in Str8UpGayPorn somehow. I have no idea how that works but I'm enjoying the results. And these results bring me to my point: porn is very white. One (ONE) black performer was recognized and I know Boomer is Latinx or Latinx adjacent and Adam as vaguely Mediterranean.  So maybe this is why Steven was reading the hell out of me in that Lurkie Masc for Masc post? (if you have not read it, go! Lurkie was his usual gruffy self but he did drop some big truths there).

Steven may be right. My blog may lean towards using a ton of white men to illustrate my posts (and there's a lot of white dick in my Pages, too) and that's something I may have to be more aware of looking forward. I just posted about POC and Ballroom culture, so yay me. But I know I can do more and better. It may be that the porn I watch and the porn actors I see being celebrated are overwhelmingly white and that's influenced my choice of objects of my desire? I do like Latinx and Black men (also Asian and Middle Eastern and everything in between, because I'm basically slutty), but that's not reflected here. I may have to check myself more often. And not wait for a blogger friend to call my attention to the the fact that I'm not putting my mouth where other parts of my body may be.
