His name is Devin Trez and he's foiiiiine. At least I think so.

So, while I was transposing around the interwebs I happened to find a site that kind of ranks the thirst traps gay porn stars post on their social media accounts. Because of course I was. Doesn't everybody just browses for beefcake? No? Just me? So I was browsing for beefcake and Devin kind of jumped at me. Well, besides the obvious (he's a porn star, so he's equipped like one) there's something else about him that called my attention, so I got myself to google.

Yes,  of course he projects that BDE. Yes, he's attractive. But I think that when a man makes me stop and look it's because he has something that I find interesting. Is it the eyes? Is it the way he moves? Is it he hair? I really like his hair. Is it the way he moves his head? Is it that the body is not overly pumped up? Is it the big hands? I was wondering about it all when I stopped to pay attention to him and his porn output. And I am glad I did.

Somebody once told me that porn is very simple: we like to watch porn because we like to put ourselves in the place of one of the people in the action: we are attracted to what we see because we would like it for ourselves. Or we just like to watch. And I think that even when that's an overly simplified definition of the lure of porn it's a quite accurate description of why I watch porn: I like to watch. I like the men in it and I think I'd like to experience what they're experiencing. Simple, no? And I like what Devin does when he's onscreen.

And the thing is that not everybody will do, of course. We all have our favorite porn stars or style of porn we enjoy. When I like a porn star/video/scene/studio I think that it's because they are going beyond the obvious in-and-out. Clinical porn does nothing for me. Nothing. No matter how beautiful the men. What I call 'clinical porn' is that porn that has endless endoscopic closeups of the models' nether parts and foregoes anything remotely emotional. I just can't. It's boring, repetitive and color-by-numbers. We've talked here (especially in my pages, natch) about how amateur porn is going to take over studio porn if studio porn does not evolve. And it may be true. I think we crave that authenticity. And maybe that's what Devin offers?

Devin jumped out of the page because he's got something I cannot really define. It may be that combo of swagger and sweetness that I perceive and that I find so attractive in guys. It may be the nice body. Cause that body bangs. It may be the gusto to which he takes to fucking. It may be the way he eats ass. I don't know. But he does it for me. And that's what porn is supposed to do and Devin has got it in spades. It could be that he's got that easy masculinity that does not require men to be overly aggressive for you to know that they're assertive? Is it that playfulness that seems to hide a wicked streak when he's fucking? It may be that aura he projects and that lets some men appear vulnerable even while fucking someone silly. Maybe it's that military background that he apparently has what contributes to that laser focus he seems to have when fucking? Who knows? I don't care.

Also, it is true that I think too much about these things. Leave it to me to overthink porn. But yeah, Mr. T certainly has that 'it' factor (IMHO) that makes good porn stars. Because their forte is to make us watch. And I can imagine that I'm not the only one who's noticed Devin. If you look at his twitter, he's got many eyes on him. He's got 50K+ followers, so that may be good for his only fans.  I am not one to buy porn (yes, Dave, there's a whole cornucopia of it online, for free!) but if I ever got a gift card and didn't know what to do with it (fat chance) I'd invest the money in a month of his output. Because he seems like a ton of fun: uninhibited, sexy and very, very talented.

The good thing about porn is that there's something for everybody out there. I am sure that a quick search will bring you exactly what you need at the right moment. And in these times of social distancing it certainly comes handy. I'm all for keeping my antibodies high.
