One more time

This post is one of those 'just because'. One, because I like to watch men dancing. Two, because I like to watch men dancing in running shorts and not much else. Three, because it's Britney, bitch. And those are all very good reasons, IMHO. (Four, Because Jimmy read my mind!!)

Men dancing (no matter how well or badly they do it) it's one of the most entertaining things ever. I do't care about rhythm. It’s good if you’ve got it, but at the end of the day, coordination can be learned. I care about abandoning all pre-conceived notions of what a man can and cannot do (or better, should or should not do) and having fun. There's nothing sexier than a man who does something for the hell of it. Cracking that Marlboro man facade can be freeing. So, do as Anne Marie says: dance like nobody is watching. Who the hell cares. I think it’s sexy, especially if you do it in running shorts.

I have to say that Brian has the kind of compact body I think many gay men find 'basic' but that I find very attractive. He's not overly muscular or 'cut'. He doesn’t look like he goes to the gym six days a week. He hasn't got a six pack and he may be on the 'short' side. But still, I think he's attractive. I think I am attracted to men that I could realistically have in my bed. Oh, yeah. Chris Hemsworth. Who wouldn't want to fuck him? But yeah. Reality. Also, Brian is a bona fide actor. You may have seen him in Will and Grace. He was also in Special, remember? He was the escort Ryan O'connel hired to pop his cherry! Yes, please.

And then there's Britney. Poor, unappreciated Britney. She's the butt of so many jokes. She gave paparazzi so much money. The tabloids loved to hate her. But I think she's actually survived fame. She’s been through the ringer, right? Basically no childhood, over exploited, marrying opportunistic bums, not having real freedom, the works! Girl has been through some shit. But she’s showed them. And of course, .... Baby, One more Time brings back the memories!

Fun fact: I got the 'Baby, One More Time' single for free at a drugstore in Morgantown, WV when it came out. I played it non-stop in my little boombox in the little apartment I had when I was a TA. I played that record and many more because they kept me company. I’m telling you, the memories that song brings! I think I still have that CD. It may have survived the flood that killed my music collection years ago.

And talking about Britney, I think that Blackout is her most fun, danceable album (it came out during that shaved-head, umbrella-attacking period) but she had some bops in that album. Get Naked (I got a plan) still sends me. I think I have that album in my car. And now, apparently our Britney is a socialist queen. Yep. Britney (the same Britney of ...baby one more time and the umbrella and shaved head) quoted Mimi Zhu on IG and talked about re-distribution of wealth and strikes. Redistribution of wealth and strikes. The proletariat is shaking in its boots. She also used red rose emojis in her post: a symbol with anti-authoritarian connotations. Who knew? Communion moves beyond walls, people! She’s got a plan.
