OTP, four?

First things fire. Damn, those are two handsome men. Second, damn!
I do have a soft spot (or hard, if yo may) for Nate. He is FINE. Miah is cute, but Nate... yes, please. I find him very attractive but also very Ying to my Yang. I like these men with a quiet sense of masculinity. Oh, I know that some gay men would go 'he's too gay'. Well, they can suck my dick.

And they are adorable together! Their banter is so cute! I find that when you really connect with a man, you get that pat down, without even trying. The looks, the finishing each other's sentences, the silences. Even the slight rolling of the eyes. They seem to be very in sync, to be very connected. And that's awesome. *Sigh* I do miss some things.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about the house. It's of course fantastic, because of course. They both have years of experience doing houses for a living, so that's a given. But their houses (this is the second I believe they have done for AD) always have that touch that does not let them look like showcases. I know Maddie and Bob will be with me here: their houses look lived in. Beautiful and tasteful, but they look like Nate and Miah actually live there. Of course, having a townhouse in New York is EXPENSIVE. But the house does not look overly done. It looks really homey even though we know it's luxe (did you see that glass rail and the bookshelf?). It's the things they have what makes it 'homey' (notice when Miah gets excited about the faucet!) they speak of the things they share and that mean something to them. Also, check out the closet convo. I just saw myself. I feel you, Miah.

It's the anecdotes, the looks that they give each other when something is just not 'so' during the filming (the kid not giving a kiss, the door not opening, the story with the closets). The whole thing makes watching them having fun and showing off their house a joy. I think it's the physicality of their relationship what cinches it. Bet they have fun together. Yeah, I mean the sex. I'm a perv. So sue me.

Oh, BTW, here's their old house:

This post combines two of my things right now: home decor porn and living vicariously through somebody else's relationship. Isn't 2020 aiming to be super fantastic?

XOXO

  1. While I'd prefer to live in New York over LA I like their LA home better. I think it has a better sense of history.
Pet peeve? They tend to say "where we land" a lot, bout the things in their home.

    1. Their LA home was stunning. Bigger, too. And those LA homes from the 30's and 40's do have incredible charm.
And 'where we land', huh? LOL

  2. I once knew a fairly successful actress who threw a party at the end of the production run. She boasted that her how was "real showcase." Yep. Very expansive, very expensive, everything placed perfectly, everything spotless. I felt like a museum. Nope. Wasn't impressed. You can have a place look luxe and still look like people live there. #amiright?

    1. Yes, you are. And that's something that some people think is good: having only the best and most expensive. It does not make them tasteful. Or give their place a soul. Or maybe their places reflect THEIR soul. *shudder*

  3. Oh yes. Now these two i can handle much better then Dallas and what's his name. These two just not as forced it something. And it's great that two designers found each other. Personal note. I remember when we were installing Rachel Zoe shops in our stores. A small team was sent to ready the store for the walk threw. Her shops were great looking. When she arrived. Jeremiah worked for her. She was what you'd expect. Annoying twit. But he was so cool. He talked and joked with us all for some time...except when the harpie was needing something. At lunch he capatived me with his style and smile. To this day i don't know if he knows what I might have done to him in that prop storage area!!!!!!!!! But he'd liked it. Jokes aside...he was very warm and welcoming...and one could see how he felt about her. Three months later he was gone. He was replaced with another cutie Brad Gononski

And yes....i love their home!!!! And yes...id would have no problem being the filling in that sandwich. But i have the feeling they are good boys.

    1. Hahaha Dallas and Blue are cute!
But yes, it's two designers together. And they complement each other nicely.
Rachel Zoe is a harpy. I know people who like you, have worked with her and nobody has anything nice to say about her. Nothing.
Their home is very pretty and they are both yummy.
Yes to that sandwich. But yes, they seem to be good boys. Good for them!

  4. I have always liked Nate, I'm so happy to see him with another partner, I felt terrible for him when his husband was killed in the tsunami. He looks awesome BTW, he hasn't changed very much!
The glass railing??? No! I would get rid of that asap!

    1. Nate is super nice. I remember him in Oprah.
His partner dying in the tsunami was shocking! Poor guy.
And he looks pretty much the same now, and age becomes him.
LOL I also have questions about that glass raining.

Colin and Justin as also very, very cute!!
They should have a show here in the States.

  6. Where Maddie likes these two better than Dallas and (what's his name), I prefer the Dallas duo. I don't really get a sense of 'family' with Nate and Jerry, perhaps because I get the feeling they think of themselves as being 'very special people.'

    1. Dallas and Blue are more salt of the earth. I think their sex life is also more fun. Blue is quite the Alpha. And I got the opposite feeling: they do feel like family, with the children and their pedestrian -yet beautiful- closet situation. They are special, though. Very few of us could afford that house!

  7. Beautiful houses. And I wonder what it looks like when they aren’t expecting AD. Dishes in the sink? Coffee ring on the counter? No the house keepers keep it spotless. Would I like to live there? Like Maddie, I’d love to be part of that sandwich.

    1. They were! I totally covet that NY place.
And I think they may get a hand in the cleaning, of course. I also think they're both business people so they may be busy.
They're both yummy. I'd go for Nate, though..

  8. Wow. Those are beautiful homes. I would still much rather live in Idaho. Am I in trouble if I don't know who Nate Berkus is? Or is that assumed since I am from Idaho?

    ReplyDelete

    1. LOL
Nope, you're not. And I'm sure Idaho is Nate-Berkus-approved.
Hey, I know people from Idaho watch Oprah (where he used to be featured) and have Target (where his line has been sold). I bet Ms. Shife has bought one or two of his trinkets throughout the years. You'd be surprised.

      XOXO
