Some men really are just pretty. Some men have a je ne sais quoi that makes you stop and stare. I think Jake Nicola has that quality. I was minding my own business looking for terrarium tutorials on youtube (yes, Debra) when he popped up. You know youtube, that stalk-y ex-boyfriend who's always being extra after you swatted him away but that keeps trying to impress you? Yeah. That youtube. I had been deciding on what underwear to buy for my New Year's new routine and google (who's always watching) apparently decided that I needed more incentives to buy underwear. Hence Jake Nicola, apparently.

So Jakey popped up on my screen and I just had to watch. Isn't it nice when a man actually behaves like a human being and not like a blown up doll pretending to be the Marlboro Man? The smile. The eyes. Oh, I know porn actors spend inordinate amounts of time cultivating those bodies and those personas (OnlyFans is not free, no?) and they can (and should) show them up. But when you have bedroom eyes and an incredible smile to go with that banging body, why not showcase those too? I'm a fan. I ran to google to find out more about him. And no, I don't mind the tats and that he's not six feet or taller. Did you see that smile?

I think the advent of OnlyFans and the such has made gay porn stars (and porn stars in general) much more accessible and ... human? And that's important. I was kind of surprised when Mr. Nicola popped up on my feed because youtube is notoriously prudish when it comes to content created by sex workers or anything remotely sex-related, even educational (as Lurkie points out). Oh, you didn't know that? Youtube has been at it for years. And it may get worse. Here: a handy #SISEA explanation: 

SISEA, or the Stop Internet Sexual Exploitation Act, is a US Senate bill currently in committee. Purportedly, it will defend against pornographic material posted without the affirmative consent of those depicted, but the methods it takes to do are poorly thought out. The potential for damage will be far out of proportion to the good it accomplishes.

SISEA will place significant burdens on users and any online platform that hosts and makes available to the general public “pornographic images” (hereinafter “covered platforms”).

Under this law, if contested, I would have to confirm the age of any naked man appearing on this blog (I publish a lot of dick here, so that's why I have to have that disclaimer when you try to view the blog) can you imagine that? And that would have to be done within 24 hours. Oh, and that's not all:

Glad you asked. The Act establishes an FTC database where individuals can opt in to protection from any uploads of pornographic material whatsoever, anywhere on the internet. The protection is significant, because platforms will be fined up to $1,000 per day that an offending image is uploaded.

It’s all or nothing, though—anyone with a professional or amateur porn image on the internet will have to remove it to get this level of protection.

So the bill has not passed, but the Cheeto administration is pushing all kinds of wacky bills in its last days and burning everything to the ground before the Orange Turd leaves the White house. Fingers crossed Uncle Joe gets his hands on this.
