Contentious context
Oh, I know. It's one of those no-no topics. But because THOSE are the topics I prefer, I'm gonna leave you here with some food for thought. Trevor is right: it all depends as to WHEN it is when you start contextualizing the conflict.
And I'm not going to try and explain what's going on there in a blog post. And I'm not going to make an argument. I'm just going to leave this here.
The whole thing is absolutely terrible. And to think that Jared, Cheeto's plastic son in law, had already "fixed" all the problems in the Middle East... *sarcasm*
XOXO
too many religions for such a small territory!
ReplyDeleteIt makes your head explode. This could all be resolved if people acted like human beings instead of total a-holes. But men are never good when it comes to sharing anything and when religious beliefs are held above all else at all costs? What price must be paid? When will it be enough? It's ridiculous. This is why I've become an atheist and a more vocal one. Religion is destroying the world. It's stupid, superstitious nonsense masquerading as true motivation. I do hope it all ends and is resolved in a peaceful manner. Palestinians cannot go on existing under these conditions. That graphic you share? It rather makes a point about who is the bully in this situation. Why is everybody being so selfish and so unreasonable? It boggles the mind. Thanks for tackling this one.
ReplyDeleteTrevor is frequently brilliant. He nails this. Thank you for all the info today, dear one.
DeleteAs Trevor said in the clip: When you have this much power, what should your response be? The teen/child analogy seems appropriate to me. I’m not an international conflict scholar, or any type of scholar, by any stretch of the imagination. But like Israel in the 40s, the Palestinians are looking to create a home. They should be afforded that right.
ReplyDeleteAnd religion is evil.
XOXO 👨❤️💋👨
I'm all for the Palestinians. Historically speaking, they were there first.
ReplyDeleteI saw a Tweet that said, in effect, if the Holy Land can't have peace how can we expect it anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteIt does seem like a nuclear bomb vs a slingshot.
That said, and I am this shallow, I find Trevor so hot.
both groups are terrorists. and the fighting will never stop. fuck them.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why the US keeps fanning the fire with war material. It is just so confusing, And, Huntley is correct,...religion is evil.
ReplyDeleteThe conflict in the Mid-East has been raging for centuries as each religious sect fights to overthrow the other. Hamas is a terrorist organization. The Palestinians are a people and deserve to live in peace. Instead, Israelis are forcefully removing them from their homes --- the ones they initially locked them into like an "open air prison" as one congressperson put it. it's time for the US to cease giving money and artillery to Israel.
ReplyDeleteAnd fuck the Cheeto's plastic S-I-L. He's nothing but another con-artist.
XOXO
Canada has called for a ceasefire too.
ReplyDeleteWar is horrible. The devastation, the lost lives, the aftermath. Just horrible.
ReplyDeleteYeah.... He fixed the problems alright. I agree with some comments...we need to sit our asses here, take care of our own, fix our issues and stop meddling in everybody elses. Once were "perfect" then do we have a right to meddle .
ReplyDeleteI almost missed you post today...it wasn't showing up in my reader. I'm going to leave blogger yet.
