Bye-bye, Ray?
I like Ray Dexter. I've had him here on the blog before and I find him fun and goofy and attractive. He's got a personality, which helps a lot when it comes to porn stars. Some porn stars are literally an avatar where we can put whatever fantasies is it that we have and vicariously fulfill them through our favorite on-screen man. I find that to be different with Ray. I think I'd really enjoy him after we fuck, to tell you the truth. I think that actually liking the personality of the man we are fucking truly helps to make the experience of having sex with him much more fulfilling. Yeah, a nice dick is nice. Yeah, a nice body is nice. But what about the man? The actual man attached to that dick needs to have more to him than just an appendage to be really fun. At least according to me.
And now Ray has decided his heart is not into fucking for us to enjoy anymore. He says his time to leave fucking in front of a camera for a studio is now. And I think it is a great decision. I am one of those people who think we should avoid by all means to have a job we hate. It's the worst. When I got my first full-time, well-paid (according to me) job I was elated. As in deliriously happy. I could not believe I was going to get paid to do something I really liked and enjoyed (and was good at doing). And that was a fantastic feeling. I have been lucky enough to have always worked doing what I like. I have not always worked with great people, though. I have worked with the most wretched, poisonous, despicable bitches you can think of working with: jealous, inept, scheming, evil mean whores from hell. And they were not even in porn.
I can understand why Ray wants to stop working in porn. It's not an easy job. And one thing that we have to remember is that it IS a job. People get paid to do it because it can be grueling and challenging and annoying and difficult. Getting your dick hard on command, coming on command, making sure the angle is right, getting plowed for hours, taking care of your body, working with evil mean whores from hell, the works. That is not easy. Porn is not what we see. That's just the product of the hard work of many people: those in front of the cameras and those behind them.
Watching this video kind of made me tear up a little bit. At the three minute mark, he talks about his childhood and I was *this* close to losing it. Really. We NEVER know what goes on in other people's lives. Never. He also talks about the struggle porn stars of color have to go through: aside from subverting the idea that all Asians are somehow submissive bottoms, it is really hard to find Asian gays in mainstream gay porn (I have no idea about straight porn because I don't consume straight porn, natch). We don't have enough gay Asian porn, let alone gay Asian porn stars that top on screen and are hung like a pony. Talk about a unicorn.
I hope this exit works for him. I also hope he's got a plan B. Going back to college, becoming an influencer, mainstream actor or something where his charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent are appreciated. He's very young and very attractive. It should not be difficult. But above all, I hope he finds love. He seems like a great guy and it would be a total waste is somebody doesn't appreciate the potential.
All in all, I hope he keeps fucking the guys he really likes, but if not, well, there's a treasure trove of porn with his likeness on it. Good luck, Ray. Hope everything goes well.

There are porn stars with personality then there is assembly line porn, and probably 85% of porn is the latter. I have seen him once or twice. if he retires at 25, he has his reasons. But porn is a bit like sports. If you are good and if you keep yourself well, you can go on upi mean to 40/50 years, playing at being the gray fox.
