Same!
So exhausted.

  1. Though I expected this outcome, especially after the judge threw out the lesser charge, for which he would probably have been found guilty, it still astounds me that it happened. And the first graphic assumes that the Black teenager wouldn’t have been summarily shot and killed by police. 😢

    1. You're right, Huntley. A Black kid would have been shot multiple times by police right there in the street that night.

    2. Same.
I knew, from the moment the Judge's ringtone sounded, that this was fixed. So irregular, so predictably white. America does have a white supremacist problem.
Only a white person could have crossed that police line without a scratch in America.

  2. I won't speak it's name. He's a murderer, and even though he was found Not Guilty keep in mind that does not mean innocent. For as long as he lives he'll be subtitled "murderer."
He is this year's George Zimmerman.

    1. Oh, he IS a murderer. I hope that follows him and his family for the rest of his life. But he's already been lionized by the far right and the deplorables. He's not innocent, but for white America he means that white people can kill with impunity.
I really hope he ends like Zimmerman: broke and peddling his wares on eBay.

  3. Yeah, this is "justice" in racist America.

    1. I kind of expected it, but was nevertheless surprised.
He's setting a dangerous precedent, that of white impunity.

  4. Welcome to new America!!!!! I am just about tired of all this shit, and politics and people, right wing whities getting away with everything. There is no checks or balances of anything. I don't care what your background or color, you break the law or kill people you get punished. Well except if your white.

Again...where was anyone and everyone to not call that judge out from the beginning, before the case even started, to call him out and remove that fucking old conservative from the case????? Not one person to my knowledge called him out of what he said. Tell me that didn't "sway" a jury.

Power to us people MUST BE USED NOW! Vote all these bastards out. But I feel as though Im fighting a losing battle.

Exhausted, frustrated and furious. That's how I feel. The checks and balances seem to have been thrown out the window with the proverbial baby and stupid, corrupt, violent people are getting away with literal murder.
The moment the judge let that boy pick the jury from a hat I was like, 'I'm done'.
It was a mockery of America.

  5. This turned out as expected. Everything was stacked against right winning out. That judge was a sham, as was the jury. And the point about flipping the race? Spot on. In fact, if that were the case, that dude would be dead on the spot. And now Gaetz and Gospar are getting in on the circus. F 'em. There is no justice. This country sucks. And that little white a-hole is just George Zimmerman II.

    1. Absolute sham.
Orchestrated from the beginning. This was a message to white right wing America: you can still get away with murder. It's a circus, one where everything is done for show. Everything is done to prove that the good old white boys can still get away with murder.

  6. With the way in which he opened the trial, the judge may as well have been wearing a white robe and hood. Or a MAGA hat at the least. The outcome was totally expected. No one was surprised by the acquittal.
But, as one victim's family stated, this is not over, justice will be served. Wrongful Death Civil lawsuits have been filed. They should wipe out Rittenhouse financially for the remainder of his life --- along with his "mommy," who drove him there. If she was a decent human being, she would've kicked his ass all the way to his bedroom and locked him in. But, nope. Then he goes out to a bar to drink and celebrate with the Proud Boys. That is one very fucked up family. XOXO

    1. I was thinking that myself, about the civil suits. Hopefully any verdict against him will follow him forever. I don’t think lawsuit awards can be forgiven through bankruptcy.

    2. Amerikkka, indeed.
The impossibly biased way the judge carried out this sham was astounding to me. I hope the families of the people he killed (white, too) get his last penny. He's going to get backup from the QAnon crowd, the Gun Lobby and the Repugs, of course. But those families can rile up support too.
I hope he ends penniless and riled up by guilt by the time he's twenty.

    3. Penniless and wracked by guilt would be a fitting end for him. Alas, the Whtie Supremacists are celebrating him as a hero. As long as those asshats keep doing that, they'll support him emotionally and financially. Sickening! xoxo

    1. I did expect it, too.
But it's shocking to see that it actually happened. It was a sham, of course. It was a show of white supremacy disguised as 'justice'.
