Ares
@CHENS_ART1
Ares was overwhelming, violent, destructive, and insatiable in battle. Mortals regarded him as a man-slaughterer, but his valor and strength was needed in battle. He had an explosive temper, which usually resulted in humiliation from the other gods.
Ares was known for his lust for blood, his chaotic nature and this thoughtless aggression. I somehow can relate there. Even though Ares and Aries really have no direct relationship (apart from both having Greek origins), I have decided that yes, Ares could be my Zodiac sign as a Greek god. We all should have a Greek god stand in. Don't you think? And what's yours, Constant Reader? Go ahead, tell us...
Happy Spring Equinox! Get your altars ready!
XOXO
Well, mine is Prometheus, not "technically" an Olympian, but still worshipped by the Greeks. The Titan god of forethought and counsel made man himself out of clay. He also tricked the Olympian gods out of the best meat in a sacrifice to give it to man and for his rebellion, Zeus ordered an eagle to peck at a bound Prometheus’ liver for all eternity and for his rebellion, Zeus ordered an eagle to peck at a bound Prometheus’ liver for all eternity. .
ReplyDeleteLike Prometheus, Aquarius are humanitarians. They will rebel against authority if they think it has overreached. Loving man more than even the gods, Prometheus and Aquarius share creative skill in rebellion and breaking rules.
That sounds about right.
Ohhh
DeleteAquarians are apparently very cool people, then. I like the idea of Prometheus outsmarting Zeus (he paid for it, but hey).
XOXO
I feel like Olympian Jupiter, a great conqueror, even of young people, like Ganymede. Or Venus, for love, deeply immersed in erotic pleasures.
ReplyDeleteLeo:Apollo here. Though not very creative, I do like to think of myself as cheerful and generous. I don’t think I’m vengeful, but can be stubborn sometimes. Cross me and I will give you what for (under my breath, because I loathe confrontation).
ReplyDeleteHave a happy one, babe! You deserve all good things on this special day!
XOXO 👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
That's a good description.
DeleteAnd I think you're still creative. But Apollo? Yes. Why didn't I think of that one?
And thanks bae! It was special, indeed!
XOXO
Mine is the Earth Mother, Demeter. Very fitting since Virgo is an earth sign and itself references the Maiden aspect of the Divine Feminine. The story of Demeter (Mother) and her daughter Persephone (Maiden) is a many-layered and profound myth that has been central to my own life, so this pairing is appropriate for me!
ReplyDeleteSo fitting!
DeleteWhoa. That description? Totally accurate. Who knew??
XOXO
GEMINI - ATHENA
ReplyDeleteThe constellation and zodiac sign for Gemini have rich roots in Greek mythology. If you’re a Gemini, you align with Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and Military Victory. Furthermore, you will also feel a connection to the mythological twins Castor and Pollux, who share their names with this constellation’s two brightest stars. Geminis are characterized as being adaptable, communicative, and resourceful.
I'm not mad at this connection...I really am not. I could see it...except for the Military Victory part. As Michael Jackson said in that video he did with Paul McCartney "I'm a lover not a fighter".
I have several friends who are gemini.
DeleteAnd who knew that connection was there? We can be fighters in many different ways, J.M. Remember that...
XOXO
Demeter for me.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday. Six.
Oh, I know how Taurus can be.
DeleteAnd Demeter is very fitting in that pairing. I approve.
And thanks, Jimmy! It was a great day.
XOXO
Evidently, mine is a Goddess. Aphrodite. Goddess of Love and Procreation. Perhaps that explains my writing the blog. Though, my words haven't started any wars - not that I know of, anyway. Charming, romantic and graceful...well, the graceful part is probably true because of the dancing. Have I struggled as she did in not finding the right partner? IDK. It took me until age 33, but we've been together ever since. Have yourself a most wonderful day. XOXO
ReplyDeleteBut duh, yes!
DeleteAnd it does go with writing the blog and it being both informative and sexy! Whoa.
Who knew these things were going to be this accurate?
And I had a fantastic day, Big. Thanks!
XOXO
Hades here. How could anybody even wonder? 😎😎😎
ReplyDeleteOh, NOW I believe in horoscopes.
DeleteHands down. There's passion underneath it all.
LMAOOO
XOXO
Hands down Id so be Artemis without a doubt. Greek goddess of the hunt, the wilderness, wild animals, mountains, and planet. Artemis also never wanted married but to stay single!!!! Fits me to a T. Though technically my sign is Hades which funny enough, also suits me, as does Dionysos.
ReplyDeleteWell, we all have traits of one or two signs.
DeleteBut I can see you as Artemis but that passion is all Hades.
Oh, yes.
XOXO
Aquarius: Prometheus
ReplyDeleteWhile not technically an Olympian (I'm not technically much of anything, so that seems right), Prometheus is still worshipped by the Greeks. (I worship Greek style... that is, on my knees, hon, all the time!) The Titan god of forethought (foreplay? foreskin?) and counsel made man himself out of clay (Fuck clay. I make things rock hard all the time!). He also tricked the Olympian gods out of the best meat in a sacrifice to give it to man (oh, honey, I do get the best meat, but I am not one to share.).
For his rebellion, Zeus ordered an eagle to peck at a bound Prometheus’ liver for all eternity (sort of like the lethal cocktail of daily meds and gin, huh?). Like the rebel Prometheus, Aquarius are humanitarians (well, I do enjoy serving others). They will rebel against authority if they think it has overreached (is that the same as a reach around? Cuz I know what that is. I do that all the time). Loving man (often, but never more than twice) more than even the gods, Prometheus and Aquarius share creative skill in rebellion and breaking rules. (I do like to break rules. Just look at my creative punctuation and spelling some time.) (as for breaking rules... well, I do have me some fun in places I oughta notta, so... yeah - breaks 'em when I makes 'em.) Kizzes.
Another Aquarius, huh?
DeleteIt sounds about right. Especially because of the rebellious nature, mind you. And you made this description so much more interesting! LOL
XOXO
Venus, goddess of sex & love!
