Oh, Mr. Stetson…

I really like Nate Stetson. I think it's the  mustache. And hat body. Well, that and the fact that he’s a sexy beast. Oh yes. This man seems to really, really enjoy what he does. And he does it very well. And given that yesterday was Sex Workers Rights Day, this post really comes handy. 

Nate is quite articulate, something that people forget porn stars can be. He's a porn star, adult entertainer, content creator, bird parent and Columbia student. It's a nice resume. He talks about his getting into porn and you can see how somebody can slide into doing porn (or sex work). Also, who the fuck thinks a man can be 'too thick'? Bullshit.

So his first incursion in porn was illuminating: porn studios can reduce your pay if you have ingrown hairs or blemishes. Yep. That's how it is. He mentions that he did not feel exploited or used, though. He says that with porn he felt at home in his body, more aware of it. Porn would make YOU aware of your body, that's right.  Porn stars are attractive to me because of that relationship they have with their bodies: it's their work instrument but at the same time it is using a resource that we all have (ones closer to the Greek standard than others, natch). I do like that about porn stars: they are at ease in their own bodies. And I really like Nate's.

He's a South Carolina boy. He says that his upbringing was boring in the Up Country. He describes it as diet Mountain Dew, tobacco, peanut-fed instead of corn-fed. Funny how many porn stars come from small towns and the such. He had his first boyfriend at around fifteen and didn't really care what his family thought about his sexuality. But his first boyfriend belonged to a very religious family and it did not go well. No surprise. 

Notice that his jump from NC to NY was kind of pre determined: his high school closed 'cause his town was so small and his ending up going to an 'artsy' high school where he needed to excel kind of prepped him up to go to New York where rejection is an every day occurrence.  He did go through a journey before he started porn. After he started porn, which eventually took over his 'day job', he says he felt empowered. I can understand that.

He also seemed to adapt well. He got into porn in 2016, when Only Fans was just starting, but he thought it was a lot of work. He worked with studios instead, but during he pandemic stared producing his own content. When his job in hospitality dried up during the pandemic he decided to use his passion for Japanese and channel it into a career: he's studying East Asian Languages and Cultures with a focus on Japanese language and Tibetan studies. Love!

He mentioned that he and his Venezuelan partner have talked of moving to Japan and starting a business there. Oh, yes, he's got a partner and apparently things work pretty well. His partner helps him gain perspective on his job. Isn't that what we all want? He also talks about being a bird parent, which I find fascinating!

He's sweet, and fun, and smart and hot. What else can we ask from our porn stars??
