Oh, Nikita

@nikitaryanxx draws very beautiful men in very intimate situations and I'm here for it. This artist creates pencil and watercolor drawings that are hyper-realistic and also some abstract art. I prefer the pencil drawings, because to me they have the ingenuity of those old-fashioned one-handed reading from yesteryear.

'Anytime I am around a male body part, it is kind of exciting... '

Oh, honey. Same.

“I am a straight woman, which surprises a lot of people who look at my art, as they assume I must be a gay man.  But I find the male body exciting, and male bodies together extremely sensual and beautiful.  And so far, I haven’t found any other woman drawing gay male erotic art, which is maybe surprising considering that there are many male artists who draw female erotic art”

Oh, I was as surprised as you are. But she's right, many, many males draw female erotica, so there's that.

"I have been surprised at how well it has been received, as the subject matter is obviously evocative.  But I like to think that, rather than full-on explicit images (although some of them are) I try to show the softer side of relationships, the passion and the desire, and maybe people appreciate that. As an artist, you put yourself out there and leave yourself open to criticism, especially with a subject such as mine.  But I also think that is what art is for, which is to push boundaries and open people’s eyes."

So there you have it. A straight female who draws men and men together in the throes of sexual encounters and does it with a very... gay eye? It should not surprise us. After all, even though some of the hottest gay erotica I've read is by men, some women can write gay erotica as well as the horniest gay men can. Equality, am I right?

You can go to her Website or visit her etsy store to look at her output. I'd really like some of those pencil drawings, TBH.

XOXO

P.S. @nikitaryan is also on Twitter:

BTW, Nikita Ryan is also a published author (didn't I tell you women also write gay erotica?). You can check her book out at Amazon or with your local bookstore.

  1. only those who have enormous love not only for the male body, but also for masculinity, the masculine mind, masculine spirit, can understand and love the masculine side of life in this way. Usually, only men succeed in this, but this madame Nikita is a happy exception, which I admire very much.

    1. I was also surprised by her insight into the physicality of two men. For the longest time I thought it was a man drawing.

    2. This is the power of art: to take us to places - masculine beauty and eroticism, as in this case - that alone we would not reach. Art combined with a deep love for what is drawn. Art and love produce these works.

  2. Pen and pencil drawings are becoming more popular, on a host of different subjects. Still Life, too, seems to be going through a bit of an artistic renaissance.

    1. I think pen and pencil drawings are fantastic.
I cannot imagine how difficult they are, too. I cannot draw anything, so when somebody can create something like this, I'm always in awe.

    Big says,
That a straight woman is creating (gorgeous) M/M erotic art is not surprise to me.
Tons and tons of straight women LOVE to surf and watch M/M porn, so it makes sense. Plus, according to a friend of mine who works for a gay publisher, many of their M/M erotica authors are women writing under male names (many using only initials with a surname) and the majority of their readers are women.
I mean, bottom line, don't straight women love a naked man???

    1. I know!
I should know better, but my bias led me to think the artist was male. And I've read tons of M/M erotica and romance written by women. It's just that the themes were so... homosexual?
      Hahaha I know, I know.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
My goodness she knows her subject well. I agree, the pen/pencil work seem to be my favorites. The passion she illustrates really draws you into the moment.

I may have to start an alt instagram/Twitter account for all the content you’re leading me to. You are a VERY bad influence on me babe. 😎

    1. Oh, she does.
And she draws men with lovingly details. I think that's what threw me. Hahaha and I thought you ALREADY had an alt for those!

  5. I, too, love the sort of roughness of the pencil drawing. Surprised, too, that it's a woman giving hot man love!

    1. I think I really like paper and pencil drawings.
I knew somebody who was going to Art School and spent hours working on his. I find the end result more... organic? I don't know.
But the fact that the artist is a woman also took me by surprise. The more you know, huh?

  8. Fascinating. What in the world inspired her to go in this direction? Such an imagination. Good for her. We all need an obsession. I need to find a new one. My preoccupation with sex is growing stale. :) Kizzes. Thanks for shedding light on another great artist.

    1. Same question I asked myself!
For the longest time I assumed it was a man making those drawings. But you know what assuming leads to, right? I was totally wrong. And we all need some kind of obsession. And you were obsessed with sex? Wait, aren't we all?
