Let's talk about the most important election of your life....
One of the things I've seen online is how the quasi-libertarian, socialist-lite, hard leftist on-certain-issues blogsphere keep saying that the centrist-left is crying wolf when things are 'not that bad'. Well, fuck that. I just took a ride below I-80 (which to me is MAGAt territory, with the exception of some big cities) and the situation is fucking dire.
From blatantly lying ads about abortion to boldly endorsing Cheeto's politics and talking points (scary tactics about China, immigration, and girl's bathrooms) to homemade signs praying for the return of The Orange One. Whenever we drive around rural America, I literally fear for my life every time we leave the car to eat because I'm always ready to fight a fucking redneck bitch. And don't get me started with the stickers on those trucks (well, that's after you are able to unglue your eyes from the rifle rack).
EVERY election is important at this point (and it has always been, remember when the email lady told everybody about Cheeto being a Russian asset and about SCOTUS? I do). Every. Single. One. From local officers to senate or major or governor. Reproductive rights were taken away from people. Contraception is next. LGBTQ people are next. And meanwhile, SCOTUS has fucked up voting rights. Tell me how every election is NOT important. The corruption is starting with the fucking dog catcher.

What I'm seeing more and more is the 'sure thing!' the Republicans were counting on to take control of Congress is now anything but a sure thing. The time has come to kick them into the gutter, where they belong.

Each election is important, because it is one of the few occasions when the people can make their voices heard. But above all now, you people of the USA must stop or at least limit such a dangerous political class.

First, a heart felt welcome back. Now my comment. Yes, the mid-terms and the 2024 election will be the most important election of OUR lives. The outcome of those two elections will, I believe, effectively determine the future survival of the United States as a nation loved and respected around the world.

Now is not the time to become complacent. No. Or sit this one out and wait for things to get better. This is a turning point. That pendulum has to start swinging back in our direction. I am praying (yes... me) that people with a bit of common sense have had enough of this and are ready for real change. We have to get in step with the rest of the world. We are fast becoming a joke - no better than Russia. That's why our economy sucks... because it is built incorrectly and is corrupt AF. As is our government. As is private money in government. As is our media. It's time for a bit of common sense and progress. EVERYBODY VOTE. And vote blue. No matter what. We don't need another two years of what we're experiencing. Destroy the GOP.
