Not all Drag needs to be pretty. Not all drag goes for the ultimate female beauty standards pageants go. Some drag is edgy, daring, a little dirty and very Punk Rock. And then there's the @BouletBrothers Dragula, something totally different to Drag Race. At every level. Dragula is not for the faint of stomach.
I have talked about Dragula before. But now the Boulet Brothers, with a bigger budget and the backing of AMC are working with their most ambition plan yet: Titans. An All Stars for the monster gang. And totally appropriate for Dragtober, no?? Also, as Maddie was pointing out, this is a chance for people to get familiar with other Drag performers who do not appear in let's say, Drag Race. This series is on Shudder, but there's older seasons on several streaming services (for those who do not have Shudder). I would recommend it (I watch all these series bootleg on YouTube, btw). Not for the faint of heart, though...

Well of course you know I love the show. Regular drag takes time to get into let alone doing this level of dragon detail. And it ain't cheap looking that ugly either let me tell you. I've long enjoyed Boulet Brothers. And the season of Titans looks incredible I don't know if it started yet but if it did I haven't seen it yet. But Victoria black is fierce, I've seen her several times. And it's interesting to see Melissa B fierce as when she started drag she used to be a club beauty queen. Which is interesting in itself because it shows the different route one Queen can go on. And what's not to love about Evah Destruction?!?!

I have to admit I did not even know that I had Shudder as part of my AMC+ subscription. But, glad your posting brought it to the surface. And, while we have a pretty active Drag community in Abilene, TX (yes it is true) it tends more to traditional drag and not the over-the-top horror drag that is Dragula. And, my only experience with female drag has been the drag kings of yore. So, as I watched season 4 and found myself face to face with amazing women drag preformers...well, I am educated!!! I have put Titans in My Stuff on Prime so that I don't miss an episode. Thanks for the early morning eye opener.

I love Sharon Needles - and I think she brought this element to life during her time on RPDR. She is Alice Cooper, but more honest. Her drag is the real thing. I am glad these gals have found a niche and an audience. It's all good. It promotes acceptance, diversity and opens people's minds to the possibilities - something the world really needs to get on board with - especially, here, in the toxic United States.
