Oh, Jordan…

Jordan Mejias has practiced his art to such a degree that his washes and lines look effortless, yet full of sensuous information and erotic volume.

@jordanmejiasart does give me that effortless, 'easy' feeling that some artists give to their paint strokes that makes us mere mortals think we could do 'that'. Nothing further from the truth. You always know that what looks easy when the artist does it, it's going to be absolutely impossible to replicate by you without their talent and technique.

@jordanmejiasart

@jordanmejiasart also brings a quiet sensuality that allows the artwork to... breathe? The sex is there, that's undeniable, but at the same time the images and situations that the artist conveys are kind of 'real' in the sense that the strokes make the images almost move. I like that. I also like the format he seems to prefer. I would not mind hanging one or two of these on my walls.

@jordanmejiasart

There's movement in what Jordan MejĂa does: it's classic and contemporary. It's sensual and elementary. I think it's the best kind of art: art that moves us in the intellectual and the sense's realms. Because your dick does not lie, hunty.

P.S. My wallpaper this week:

Oh yes. I change the wallpaper every week. And If you lift my phone you’re gonna get an eyeful. It happens when you peek where you shouldn’t.

  1. Honey, if people get an eye full on your phone, then there going to need a cigarette and most likely have a stroke if they see my phone. If somebody ever picks mine up by accident I always panic and grab it!

    But the topic at hand is this art. Absolutely love the looks of it and I actually had one piece of my apartment that was similar. I had it hanging with the two that my friend did of me, but I would have had liked to add more to it and this artist would be a good choice. I can still remember when my mother came to visit and saw that wall. She was a bit uncomfortable but was cool.

    1. Hahaha
      I can imagine. But yeah, if somebody grabs your phone, they should be ready for whatever. Phones are private!
      And I also love the looks. And I would LOVE to have one of his paintings. The format would be just right for my bedroom, and I would not mind a nude in the sitting room. After all, only my friends visit...

  2. Interesting, not something I'd hang on my walls, though, not enough space with all the dog pictures. I have been talking to my cover artist about the cover for the next book, which is probably going to be a pencil sketch washed with blood. I posted a short video on my YouTube channel a while back regarding her reaction to my suggestion.

    1. Oh, I'd hang his work on my walls in a heartbeat.
      Remember I don't have dogs, so there's plenty space on my walls. And I can imagine how your cover artist reacted LOL. Hey, bet it was worth the try!

  3. Hi! There are two gay male nude art galleries a couple of blocks from me. When we go in to 'browse' I only look at the faces. If they capture a thought or expression, they are good. This hold true with the exception of a piece showing an activity. Then I look at the body. I never seem to look at the genitals.
    This artist has good head.

      I'd LOVE to visit them! I always make a point of going to shows by artists who work with nudes (and using this specific technique). And I'm with you, the face of the models/subject always draws me in. And I'm usually attracted to the movement of the body or the overall composition. Dick is just the cherry on top.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
    I love when you do your art shows. You bring culture to Blogger. Jordan captures a lot in his work and there seems to varying degrees of detail, some seem rough drawn, even after being colored, and others seem more refined.

    Thanks for bring culture to the uncultured.

      Thnx bae. I really enjoy these artists, so why not share? And I love his sketches, really. They remind me of fine art sketches I've seen at the museum.

    Big says,
    The best artists make it seem effortless. Nude art is wonderful. What other reaction would you expect from a guy who promotes nudity as natural? XOXO

      I am always in awe of the mastery of people who just KNOW how to do things. This artist just seems to lift the brush and voilĂ !
      And I love nude art. Maybe because I don't like to be naked myself? That could be a good post....

  8. I enjoy peeking where I shouldn't... and have had the black eyes to prove it! These are lovely. I think... or I get a sense, that he's still finding himself as an artist. His work is lovely, but a bit undefined. Hesitancy and nudges/hedging bother me in works of art... I like my brush strokes like, well... all strokes... deliberate and purposeful. But that's just me... Kizzes

    1. I don't know how young/old he is or for how long he's been painting.
      Some of his art is reminiscent of the work of some classical painters in the sketches.
      I think his strokes are more delicate than hesitant, but that's me...
