Love Me Better...

As we’re inundated with reminders about loving others on Valentine’s Day, it can be hard to remember how important it is to love ourselves. As Mama Ru herself put it, if you can't love yourself, how in the hell you gonna love somebody else?
Self-love is self-compassion: the act of being kind and understanding toward yourself, regardless of external markers of success or value, even during times of hardship or failure. Treating yourself with empathy and love can help you build resilience and self-worth, which makes it easier to create healthy boundaries with others, resolve conflicts, and communicate in relationships.

XOXO

P.S. So, here you go:

    1. But this post is not ABOUT Valentine's, Dave.
If anything, it's an anti-Valentine's post. It's about loving ourselves inconditionally.

Happy Valentines Day my friend. Like you, to me, the most important part of the day is it is a global celebration of love in its most pure form. That and chocolate.

  4. it is very important to love ourselves, because we are the only person we will be with all our lives, from our birth to our death. So if we don't get along with ourselves, life will be very hard.

    1. It is of paramount importance, really.
If we do not love ourselves, our lives can get miserable pretty quickly. And make everybody's lives as miserable as ours.

All good advice. For some folks, #3 can be difficult to do. Especially when you are the person most everyone else reaches to to for help. XOXO

    HuntleyBiGuy:
Sometimes we doubt ourselves and don’t think we’re worthy of love, from ourselves or anyone else. But like so many have said above, YES WE ARE! We have to be kind to ourselves and realize that we must love ourselves so that we can share it with others.

Happy Valentine’s Day babe. You are worthy.

    XOXO 👨🏼‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏽
