Oh, Mr. Nouchi....

When YouTube offered me this tidbit, I was like, 'why not?'. I watch a ton of fashion shows and the nosy algorithm is always trying to tempt me with something. I'm telling you, YouTube is like that pesky ex-boyfriend that just cannot stop popping up with unsolicited flowers. I can buy my own flowers, YouTube!

But it was a 'good' surprise: I had no idea who the designer (Louis Gabriel Nouchi) was and did not know what to expect. It was Paris Fashion Week, so I just kind of clicked 'play'. And boy, was I in for a surprise. From the chef from Emily in Paris, to a Drag Race France alumnus, to a White Lotus actor to a sexy gay porn star, I was pleasantly surprised. And how did I realize these people were there? Well, dear Constant Reader, there was a mix of two things that interest me: fashion and men. Those two topics will always make me perk up.

First, the fashion: it started very eighties, very strong shoulders and good tailoring, and then my preconceptions kind of went out the window. From unexpected shocks of color to translucent materials, to thigh high boots (that thicc dude in the black shirt and the boots? THAT made me perk up). There were many wearable things in the collection, and many trends we are going to keep seeing (long skirts, long coats and trench coats, athleisure, and the never missing black) and some surprising styling (the leather-covered tools were menacing and ... sexy?). It was a trip.

As for the men, the second viewing was when I hit the jackpot: I recognized @thesharok, a very popular gay porn star, that I have seen here and there (that is, pornhub and xvideos) and who is Iranian and very vocal about the situation in Iran, made a surprising appearance. Not surprising because he was in a fashion show (porn stars make for beautiful models) but because his twitter told me he literally protested the executions in Iran while looking very delectable. Sharok is of Kurdish, Azeri, Persian and Arab roots and has been very vocal about the situation in Iran. Who knew?? Brawn and brains. Love me a man with ideas.

In any case, he's hot and he's politically aware. And looks good dressed up and naked. What's not to like?

XOXO

P.S. His OnlyFans is of course, available. And if you want a taste, there's no question that he's a very, very sexy MoFo

P.P.S: here, Xersex. Enjoy!

  2. I love a good fashion show. Myself? I have no fashion sense. When I see it, I can say that is fashion! But dressing myself, I need the garanimal tags that I used as a kid to know that two things belong together!

    1. Same!
And fashion can be appreciated, even though we basically live in jeans and a t-shirt. And I can just picture those tags!!!!

  3. Love the long coats and wish I still had the body that it would take to wear some of those see through outfits. The men, well it was a runway and we all know they have the best of the best. Would love to see a runway of just plain ordinary people someday.

    1. Oh, the long coats rule.
And same with the see-through outfits. I also loved the thigh-high boots with the long tunics? Because it's hot?
And this runway basically includes several body types (from buff to thin, passing by what people call 'husky'). I must post one with the typical models, so you can compare.

    Big says,
Ah, black, white, and grey. My forever style. Monochromatic for evening, back again. The pop of bright color in a shirt. The surprise for me wasn't the sheer outfits, it was the double-breasted coats. The thigh-high boots are a negative (they didn't fit properly). But tell me I'm the only one who noticed the bulge and VPL in those grey sweats. 😁😎 XOXO

    1. Aren't those colors foolproof?
I love me some all-black/ all gray combos. And double breasted coats are definitely difficult to make. They require very precise tailoring.
Oh, I was laser focused on their crotches.

  5. I wear sweat shirts and pants in the winter, shorts and T-shirts in the summer. My fashion is easy, affordable, and most important, comfortable.

Oh no! You're a fashion victim, Dave.

      Sorry!

    HuntleyBiGuy:
So why do some of the models walk without swinging their arms? It seems so unnatural. I also noticed one of the models had super clunky shoes…right up your alley. Like you I noticed a couple of thicc boys, good for him for being inclusive.

    1. Well, yes.
They need to show off the clothes and the cut. Some garments need to be showed off that way. And yes, I love me some chunky shoes. That's why I like tall men: I can wear two inch platforms and get to reach to their chin.
      And yes for thiccness!

  7. First... that song.. Duran Duran? Fun. Secondly, and please no one take offense... but this show gave off icky slave walk vibes. The way some the models walked was also ridiculous. I think this sort of thing is not for me. I loved that first coat. I would wear that. But some of that street wear? Blech. Stupid looks. It's weird. I think objectification, even of a willing party is... ucky. Maybe that's why strippers always creeped me out at clubs. I just felt sorry for them. Kizzes.

    1. Yes, the music is very that. And I that coat is a mood.
Now, how did you get slave walk vibes? It's totally pedestrian runway walk. I was more mortified by the axes and hatchets swathed in leather....

Also, big sweaters NEVER go out of style.

  9. Believe it or not, this is the second review I have heard/read about Paris Fashion Week. A comedian on a podcast I listen to raved about how much he had over there. Our worlds are colliding, SIxpence.

Paris Fashion Week is a huge event, that's for sure. And are you just now discovering we're doing the seven degrees of separation?? LOL

  10. I absolutely loved some of the jackets, sweaters ad cardigans in this collection and would wear them right off the runway. But I have to say, that third look with the bozo shoes had me in tears with laughter!!!! And I mean uncontrollably!!!!! LMAO!!!! I would have to give that my best Karen Walker. Ah, hummmmm, honey? What's going on here? What's this about, what's this called?

    1. Yes!
The jackets and sweaters are fab. He's got an eye.
And I blame the huge chunky shoes on Balenciaga. They've unleashed that trend on us and I can't forgive them..
      LOL @ Karen Walker talking.
