BenDeLaCreme spills some Tea

"I am acting this gay no matter what happens around me." @BenDeLaCreme, star of "RuPaul’s Drag Race," discusses how limiting access to drag and LGBTQ+ spaces won't limit queerness in children, how drag performers have historically uplifted and fought for the queer community, and the ACLU's Drag Defense Fund. #DailyShow #Comedy #BenDeLaCreme #LGBTQIA #AlFranken

Again, nothing better than letting the experts talk. The idea that Drag is 'new' is ludicrous and Drag has uplifted and protected Queer people, who could not feel safe -and apparently CANNOT feel safe- in other spaces.

XOXO

P.S. put your money where your mouth is. I already did. @DragDefenseFund

P.P.S. For those who live in the states where this kind of fuckery is going on:

Now, get your cute behind to www.openstates.org, LegiScan and Commoncause.org  and ACT GAY.

  1. it's like thinking that children raised by gay couples will become gay. I was born and raised by two heterosexual parents, one male and one female and yet I am 100% gay. It is evident that there is something in the DNA that directs sexual orientation. Something that for now we are unable to grasp and understand.

    1. Correct.
Same here. Heterosexuals are literally the biggest groomers of gay people. Duh. Most of us come from heterosexual parents.

    2. it is true that there are homosexual parents (Leonard Bernstein was homosexual and had three children with his wife) in the closet, but it is not certain that homosexual parents generate homosexual children, just as the reverse is not certain. Otherwise, if heterosexual parents only produced heterosexual children, homosexuals would be much less than 10% of the entire population, as they actually are. (and if we count on gray areas like bisexuals, we also go up to 30%).

It's probably because it's a TV program. Here's DeLa's Insta so you can catch up: https://www.instagram.com/p/CqLUg4aD20v/

It's so not just about 'Drag'. As it's customary with the Xtianists, it goes way beyond that.

  4. I agree with Xersex. With all the reliance upon religion and historical heterosexual grooming the number of individuals identifying as gay or bisexual continues to grow.

    1. Which probably would blow the minds of the Xtianists.
If they had any brains. But we all know that they are not the sharpest tools in the shed, right?

  5. Big says,
Anyone who has never attended a DRAG show is truly missing a treat. It can be bawdy and funny and it can also be beautiful and touching. The backward (backwoods) states are foolish and ignorant and don't care. The reality of it is: DRAG is not "gay." it's performance art. XOXO
P.S. Did you look up Jim Bailey? What did you think? Maybe you should do a post on him....(hint, hint).

    1. Not to mention Pat...that there are also many straight male and females that do drag...and do it well.

    2. I agree.
The whole idea of 'sexualizing kids' is a conservative projection (the real groomers are priests, politicians and youth pastors, all straight) and Drag can be anything: from bawdy to funny to poignant. We all know that Drag artists doing Reading Hour are not being sexual in any form. What the xtianists cannot live is with the idea that someone would question gender roles.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
Being in proximity to gay and bisexual people is not going to turn you gay or bisexual. It may change you into a better person and instill empathy in you for mankind. Attending a drag show will not corrupt or damage you.

We recently had Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo here. This could also be considered drag, in a way. Some of the costumes were fantastic. Check them out https://chicago.suntimes.com/entertainment-and-culture/2023/4/1/23666305/c2e2-chicago-costumes-cosplay-best-2023

And that's what the conservatives fear: that their children would grow up to not be bigoted or homophobic or sexist or xenophobic. Attending an all-ages Drag Show has no sexual content.

      And love the cosplay!

  7. A great fund to give to .. and also for those who live in bigger towns and cities, SUPPORT THE LOCAL QUEENS for heaven sakes... before it's too late. After all, the local Queens are the ones that are going to feel and see the brunt of this.

Supporting the Queens is what we need to do now. I'm going to Berlin in two weeks to watch the Dolls. And we are planning an outing to The Baton. It's all in, girl!

  8. Again... shiny object - easy targets. Repulsivecans pick the most obvious things to get upset about, package it in a meme or slogan and work it through the media like a dagger to the heart. We need to stop reacting - while taking action. Their act has grown more stale than EmptyG's vagina.

    1. Absolutely.
They also use this as a smokescreen to sabotage voting rights, gerrymander the country and make money off lobbying. And taking action is the best reaction. Always.
