If you can't be happy in your own home ...

I'm just gonna leave this here dahhlinks.... Hollywood Regency realness. I did not expect less.

XOXO

P.S. Orange is also one of my favorite colors. I need more of that in my life.

P.P.S. Also, remember where she comes from. She's paid her dues, hunny. That twelve million mansion didn't come easy ...

  1. Several things: with a straight face this bitch says her house isn't fussy?? Grrrrrl, it is the epitome of fussy, and fabulous, It's all a bit much but it's wonderful. I, too, love orange and I could live in that office.
And who else but Ru would take two bedrooms and turn them into a closet for RuPaul Charles, but then have an entirely different, larger space just for RuPaul?

    1. Hahaha oh yes, hunny. She did.
But yes, the house is absolutely fantastic. I love the jewel colors everywhere. And the fab coral tone in the entrance? Gimme!
Loved the office. The touches of orange were genius with the Hollywood Regency, seriously.
And I would LOVE to have two bedrooms and make them my closet. Yes.

  2. I work for the great Orange Retailer and... I'm not at all fond of the color orange.

    1. The Orange Retailer is an ode to capitalism.
But I do love me some orange. I have a pair of converse and a crossbody and they are VERY orange.

    2. I think I have the very same bright orange converse! They wake a room up when I'm wearing them.

Oh, honey. They are ORANGE. I love those shoes. Strictly summer, but fun.

  3. The whole place is FABULOUS but I must make special mention of the light fixtures -- each one is an elegant and perfect art piece!

It's both spectacular and .... warm? I know, but can you IMAGINE a party in that Disco Room??? Near the pool? Even that meditation room could house a pot party!
Loved the light fixtures. They alone tell a whole story.

And the house is perfectly fitting with the Supermodel of the World.

  5. AbFab! Really. Love the all the black and white. And I'm with Debra on those light fixtures. I tried to find out who designed and built the home, but couldn't. The Nid-Century Modern one he sold before he bought this was just as gorgeous. XOXO

    1. It is an incredible home.
They managed to make what was probably an 80's McMansion into something really special. The designer was Martyn Lawrence Bullard and the architect Christopher Hatch McLean. They did a fantastic job.

What a quaint, little bungalow. This is a fabulous house, but what should we expect? I love the breakfast nook with all of the surrounding glass. All of the treasures inside could easily approach the cost of the house. I noticed there was no tour of the bedroom. That’s where all the kink happens 😎

Right. And the breakfast nook is fantastic. I also love that there's a whole hall for the dining room. The bedroom is actually in the Architectural Digest magazine. It IS fabulous. And I bet Ru and his husband have fun there. Did you know his husband is even taller???

  7. Oh my God.. all that fracking sure paid off! Oh my god did I say that out loud? Well I can't say I hate the house, but that is way too much going on for me. But it certainly reflects RuPaul and that's all that matters. The only thing that bothers me a little bit about him, is that I feel like he shed a lot of his roots. Even though he hasn't. But it's almost like at times he forgets where he came from and almost seems unapproachable.... like many of the Queens that he hit the scene with. They still seem down to earth approachable and still mix in with the community. At times I feel like RuPaul's lost some reality touch with her roots. But I'm not opposed to having some orgies in that disco room, hint hint hint

    1. And we didn't see the ranch.
The house is fabulous, really. Love the jewel tones and you know Ru was THERE for every detail. And I feel the contrary about Ru's roots. Drag Race is literally a yearly visit to all the things that Ru did to become, well, RuPaul. She worked HARD for that money, and I'm talking twelve million that this Bungalow costed.
What I feel is that there may be a generational gap with the younger Queens. Remember Ru and Bunny are literally Boomers. Being a Millennial makes you look at them differently.

    2. I'm a Gen X'er.....I have always been in the Bunny/Hedda/Varla/Bianca camp then Ru's. Especially Bunny. That fucking cow after a show will work the room, hitting on all the men, and drinking with the patrons before making a scene. She made me black out several times while djing. After Ru and her original faze, and sometime after Starrbooty, I didn't follow Ru as much anymore. I feel with me, when an artist gets to big and mainstream, I lose interest. I tend to like the obscure. For me Ru's best music will always be the Supermodel cd. Supermodel, Miss Lady DJ, House of Love, Back to My Roots, A Shade Shady...that cd was fire!!!!!!!!!!

    3. OMG I had that CD! I think I bought all of Ru's CDs up until HoHoHo.
And you may be right: they kept that sense of grit, that sense of danger that the Club Kids always had. Ru moved more towards the mainstream (I could not believe it when I saw her singing Supermodel on MTV!!). I would argue that she did keep some of the grit. Remember, for the mainstream she'll always be a little Black boy in a dress.
I am cackling here thinking about you blacking out and Bunny still working the room for some dick! LMAOOO

    4. Please.... here's a laugh....I'll never forget a night at Shampoo in Philly. She was the headliner. That bitch was drinking, and sucking Latina dick the whole way down from the city...did half a set that night, with two huge plastic domes as tits with water and goldfish in them...Halfway through a song, passed out, fell off the stage and the tits broke. The poor goldfish were never the same again.

Needless to say she was never invited back to Shampoo.

OMG I absolutely believe that. And the poor goldfish!!!!

  8. OH MY WORD! His outward life matches his internal. That said.. this is the house that fracking built! (Sorry, had to go there). I love orange, too... the black and white thing? Not me at all. It's flashy and classic, but not comforting. Well, it's nice to see his world. Good for him. To have manifested all this. Kizzes.

I think the ranch in Wyoming is the one who got the $$ from fracking. That was probably peanuts compared with what the franchises and his commercial deals bring. His husband has money too, so...
And I loved the house. Those jewel tones? And yes, the Hollywood Regency is a little harsh, but the bursts of color make up for that...

      XOXO
