SHAZAM!
Ok, so I stole this from @sassybear and I thought I would make a post with it! Because why not? It was Superhero Day last week - Upton @wornderlandburlesque did another, more titillating take on this (and so did @lurkie), if you're interested- and @Sassybear (who collects comics) came up with these questions:
1. If you could have any super power (only one and you can’t say omnipotence) what would it be? Ideas: super strength, super speed, fly, turn invisible, phasing (walk through solid objects), elasticity (super stretching), teleportation, telepathy, time travel, etc. Be creative and feel free to come up with a superpower you’d really like having.
Flying. Cause I read somewhere that dreaming of flying has to do with sex and I trust Freud (not really, but yeah). I think flying should be such an incredibly liberating feeling and it would also let me go anywhere in no time. Not bad, huh? And I would have a cape, no matter what Edna says!
2 Why this power? How would you use it?
Because I could get places very fast? And remember how Superman spun around the earth and turned back time? Like Cher? There's some things I would love to correct, Butterfly Effect be damned.
3. Who is your favorite fictional superhero? If you don’t have one, who is one you are most familiar with?
I love Deadpool. And I love Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds even more. Gimme.
4. Have you ever read or owned a comic book? Besides me, do you know anyone who reads or collects comic books?
I collected comic books until I was 15, when I left home. I had hundreds of them and I think my mom gave them away because they converted my old room into my little sister's room. And I know about seven guys and two girls who collect comic books. Actually, Huntley gave me DC Pride Son of Kal El comic. He knows me.
5. Have you ever been inside or even seen a comic book store?
Duh, Yes. I usually go in and beeline to the clearance bin. There's always little treasures there. I also have some superhero dolls figurines (thanks, Lurkie): Namor (another of Huntley's gifts), Preacher, The Hulk, Batman, and one Superman.
6. Can you recall a moment when you witnessed true heroism? (Hey, maybe it was you!)
No, it was not me. I think the fact that I saw somebody saving someone else from drawing by diving right near the breakers to save them would count, though. I was in awe. Trying to save someone from drawing can be fatal.
7. Last but not least: Have you ever done any of these….
. …the Wonder Woman Spin? Duh, Yes. Every. Single. Time.
…the Bionic sound when running or lifting something? Absolutely.
…bumped fists with someone and said “Wonder Twin Powers, Activate.”? Even recently.
…shouted “SHAZAM!”? Yes. Especially after I saw the movie.
... and those are all the questions!
XOXO
P.S. So, what about you? What's your relationship with Superheroes/Comic books?
P.P.S. I now you wanna click here and here because those links are obvs VNSFW.
HuntleyBiGuy:
ReplyDeleteI’ve always had a thing for Spider Man. Growing up, that tight young body was the thing that turned me on. The way he was drawn? **Chefs kiss** And NO CAPES! So you can see all of that glorious backside. And the actors that have played him have been well cast, even going back to the TV series.
As for my super power, I think teleportation would be cool, especially of you can bring people with you. Though super speed ala the Flash would be kind of cool too, because like Superman he has been able to do a Cher.
XOXO 👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
HuntleyBiGuy:
DeleteOh, and when I sayShazam! it’s more like Gomer Pyle. Look it up. 😎
With great power comes great responsibility and all that, right? Very Spider-Man- Universe. And all the Spider Man actors have had that youthful thing going on. It comes with the territory. My fav could be Toby McClure.
DeleteAnd I like capes, babes! LMAOOO
Gomer Pyle??
XOXO
Big says,
DeleteOf course, Gomer Pyle! LOL. Jim Nabors created the character on the old Andy Griffith Show and it carried right into his own sitcom. Some good old boy, down-home humor. XOXO
OMG that final GIF, lol!
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteIt's for the Ambiguously Gay Duo from SNL? I think?
It's hysterical.
XOXO
1. Fly, baby!
ReplyDelete2. Freedom to go where I choose at any moment. Plus, no TSA lines.
3. I guess Deadpool cuz I love the sarcasm ... and Ryan Reynolds in the movies.
4. I have read but never owned a comic book.
5. Never been in a comic store.
6. A friend and I saved one of our other friends who was being mauled by a Rottweiler.
7. I have never done those things that I know of ....
xoxo
Oh, yes!
DeleteA man after my own heart. And Ryan Reynolds! *spank*
And a Rottweiler?? Damn.
XOXO
Teleportation. To be anywhere in an instant. Also means you could get out of a jam that quick, too.
ReplyDeleteDeadpool. Definitely. He funny. I would love to be that funny.
Read, but never owned. Weren't allowed to have them when we were kids.
Don't recall ever being in a comic store.
Not that I can remember. Guess I'm not the heroic type.
Nope. Lame, huh?
XOXO
Oh, yes.
DeleteLike flying, but faster and no capes? And Deadpool is a riot. Love him.
And you were not allowed to have comics you when you were kids? Harsh.
XOXO
Big says,
DeleteNope. No comic books. They were "a waste of good money." Plus, no Elvis Presley records. And no Beatles records, either. XOXO
I'd like to read people's minds in order to know how much I'm offending them.
ReplyDeleteHa!
DeleteBut of course, Dave. Hopefully people who do not know you. Because if they do know you, they KNOW.
XOXO
I like this one, and I'm not even into super hero stuff as much. And I enjoyed your answers. Here goes...
ReplyDeleteIf you could have any super power (only one and you can’t say omnipotence) what would it be? To control the animals, weather and plants!
Why this power? How would you use it? We know Id use it for good and evil. There would be a reckoning acommin!!!!!
Who is your favorite fictional superhero? Who are we kidding? No super hero. I'd a a anti-hero...good and villainous. I so see a lot of myself with especially Poison Ivy and some Catwoman.
Have you ever read or owned a comic book? A little bit, but knew tons of people who had them read them.
Have you ever been inside or even seen a comic book store? Yes.
Can you recall a moment when you witnessed true heroism? Not personally.
Have I done that Wonder Woman spin? what do you think? But no to the others, although there may have been a Wonder Twins activate fist bump at some point. How could there no be?
And you're so bad...with those links. You can guess which one got me hot...the AI one!!!! Damn why are they so hot!?!!?!! Hotter than an actual porn...and I'm pleased to say , yes, I jacked off to it Six!!!!! It is Masturbation Month after all.
I can totally see you as Poison Ivy! Let's do cosplay!
DeleteI thin the villains are misunderstood heroes. I love a villain's origin story as much as I enjoy a hero's journey.
Hahaha and I love that you liked the links. And you are right! The animation is much hotter than any porn. For real.
Yay for masturbation month!!!
XOXO
Oh dear...I appear to be the only villain amongst you boys.....
ReplyDeleteHahahaha
DeleteAnd that's why we love you, babes!
XOXO
I can't answer all the questions, but I'll just say two things:
ReplyDelete1. flying has a sexual connotation, according to Freud and in my opinion there could be some truth to it.
2. Since I was a child, I had a dark attraction to Superman. Now I understand why.
