Oh, Colin…

Colin Radcliffe or @colinmemaybe is genius. Really. Taking your life and literally making art out of it is  -from my point of view, anyway- the best way to deal with it.

So, how real is that? If I could do catharsis this way, my life would be much, much easier. Really. That without mentioning the almost naĂŻve quality of his work. It's like claymation scenes translated into Instagram. I love the use of color and the lanky yet accurate proportions of his subjects.

Who hasn't been here? Well, not literally, but yeah, you get my drift.

How about using the classics for inspo? That way people could tell that you DID ace that Art Appreciation 101 class you took as a Sophomore. Achievements.

There is nothing more 'today' than this. Nothing.

This would be an accurate description of me trying a threesome. So now you know.

Awwww....

Literally me.

Oh, yes. That happened.

This.

Didn't I mention catharsis?

I told you his sculptures are very 'today'.

And this, right here. A capsule moment in the life of many a gay man.

So yeah, I think one of his sculptures may do. Go ahead, give @colinmemaybe a follow. You'll like it.

XOXO

P.S.:

    1. I know, right?
And still the proportions are great and the situations absolutely hysterical.
And I think Jabba the Orange may be in trouble...

  3. I can appreciate his concept of the art but I'm not feeling it. I never did like claymation and I was little I always wanted to stomp on Gumby. For some reason claymation or always gives me the willies.

I love your enthusiasm over the Trump indictment, but I'm still not holding my breath. First I hear the trials are not even supposed to start until late fall. That he's even still able to run for president something seriously wrong. I bet he gets off with a slap on the hands and a very miniscule jail sentence if even. After everything he did, which we don't have all day to discuss, and that 4 years later he is still not jail or held accountable blows my mind. That absolutely does not say anything about our justice system. I'll still believe it when I see it.

    1. I'm afraid you're right, Maddie. He may get convicted, but I doubt he'll do any time in prison for it. He should be shoved in isolation for life with no access to any means of mass communication. But I fear any sentence(s) will treat him with kid gloves.

Oh, I loved Coraline. And there are fab movies made in stop-motion that use this technique. And I think we may get something. It's SEVENTY ONE charges! And that idiot keeps flapping his lips, so yeah. And that's what being white and rich give you in America, darling.
The repugs are desperate looking for ways to protect him, though...
      And I'm cackling about gumby.

    1. Oh, so you don't like stop-motion?
Many fab films have been made with that technique. Also, these are great snapshots of gay life..

  6. Big says,
Claymation is kind of creepy, but his is fun in a way and does speak to "today." I can see how he's taken life and used his art as a way of expressing his emotions. That's very cool.
Donald J. Trump, Criminal Defendant. I liked that title when I heard it used last night. Though, Convicted Felon will be much better.

And his life-art connection are fantastic! It's literally slice-of-life art.
And I agree, convicted felon would be music to my ears...

    HuntleyBiGuy:
This is some very clever art, and I’m sure the subjects speak to a lot of us.

As for the orange anus, unfortunately the wheels of justice move slow, and from what I hear Jack Smith is very methodical and thorough. I hope that the charges announced are just the first of many to come, as well as many more subjects to be indicted.

    1. I thought so, too.
Very clever and executed in a very 'innocent' way. Like, you notice the dicks as an afterthought. And I am just waiting for more charges (and indictments) to come. Yes.
