Oh, Lucas...
This house is a mood. Not only because it IS beautiful, but because it differs so much to the houses we usually see in the United States. It also has a story. Isn't it nice when you actually know things about the place where you live? It's one of the things that unless you move into a historical building, you don't get when you live in an apartment that was built in 2005.
What I love about this is that he found his calling thanks to the pandemic. Who the fuck knew that a dreadful even would bear such nice results? I also relate to him because he lives in a basement, too and shares his entrance with other people. That can be tricky.
I loved his kitchen. It's the kind of kitchen that I would love to have, given that my cooking abilities are limited and that I do not spend a ton of time there. Love the mood of this kitchen, to be honest. It's full of personal touches and practical details. Perfect combo.
I like his touch: he goes for a mix of styles but keeps a Regency touch that makes the space super charming and interesting. I love the tapestry and the pine wood floor. And his bedroom, with that four poster bed, custom made for the room. You'd wonder why I like it so much given that my aesthetic is quite different? Well, babes. I'm vers when it comes to decor, natch.
XOXO
P.S. how fucking hot is that accent, though???
P.P.S. you can follow Lucas @CaligulaSupernova and see why I liked his style so much.
The kitchen's fine, but the rest of it screams of very deep pockets.
ReplyDeleteI like that kitchen. Wouldn't mind having something like that.
DeleteAnd yes, there's money there, indeed. The artwork alone...
XOXO
Can you imagine picking up that one at the bar and stealing back to his place and walking into THAT? Or hooking up on Grindr and opening the door to THAT? My word. I don't think he'd let me further than the mud room. Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteHahaha
DeleteOh, I'd love to roll around in that bed. Bet he's fun.
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteThat he used to be a costumer, it certainly isn't what I expected. Q'uel surprise! My goodness it's formal and stuffy. While the accent is fun, he's very hesitant in his speech. I rather suspect he stutters otherwise. I never would think to place paintings on the floor, leaning against a wall. Oh, no, no, no. Especially ones that came by those kinds of price tags. XOXO
I know, right?
DeleteBut then he became a designer. I don't find it too stuffy. Formal? Maybe. He goes for very classical stuff. Expensive, too.
I like the lilt in his phrasing.
XOXO
HuntleyBiGuy:
ReplyDeleteThe apartment is very charming. However, he does go big in his artwork. Granted the walls are large, especially with half the apartment being below grade, but my gosh!
XOXO 👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
Very charming, I agree.
DeleteAnd some decorators put big pieces in smaller spaces for contrast. I like that tapestry.
XOXO
I also love the kitchen, though as someone who cooks a lot it's a wee bit small, but I could probably work it out.
ReplyDeleteAnd he does enjoy large art pieces doesn't he?
All in all there's a sense of charm and calm and history that I love about the place.
xoxo
Those kitchens are surprising.
DeleteI know people who pull off dinner parties for ten in smaller ones. He does like big pieces. I like that. Notice all the space he seems to have in the living room? And yes! That's what it is: historic charm.
XOXO
Regency decor? Does it come with a Mr Darcy?
ReplyDeleteHahaha
DeleteOh, I love it! And hopefully, it DOES!
XOXO
This so very European. I like the house and could visit, but couldn't live in it daily...just a tad to proper. But I do like a few proper touches, don't get me wrong. But like you ADORED the kitchen. Probably my favorite room.
ReplyDeleteVery that!
DeleteAnd I could live there with some adjustments. It IS a little bit too formal for my taste. And the kitchen is so cute!!
XOXO
Nice house, but this guy is soooo cute!
ReplyDeleteHahaha
DeleteIt adds to the charm, no??
XOXO
