Oh, Robert...
Ok, so I hate that this is in Texas because fuck Texas. But really, I love it when people have lived forever in a property and they have made it their own. It helps when you are a landscaping architect, though. Oh, and this is what Homeworthy says about the house:
Nestled on this property for four decades, Robert’s home is a testament to a lifetime of artistic expression and a unique blend of architectural influences. Before calling his industrial-style loft home, Bellamy resided in what he affectionately refers to as the "Garden Home," a smaller dwelling on the same property. His creative journey is evident throughout the property, showcasing his love for incorporating a delightful sense of humor into his designs.
The windows, conceptualized as building blocks, are the very foundation of this open-concept masterpiece, as mosaic details, mosaic details, funky artwork, and stained glass windows add bursts of color and character to every corner. The visual stone work detailing throughout the compound further enhances the uniqueness of each space, creating a harmonious blend of art and architecture.
Venture into the outdoor spaces and discover a sculpture haven crafted from architectural scraps and found objects. Robert's ingenuity extends beyond the confines of the home, manifesting in the creation of an outdoor room and dining area that redefine alfresco living. Enjoy!
Why reinvent the wheel when it's already there, no?
Enjoy!

Not sure what I thought of this. But it's not me. I like that he has his eclectic style though. And the color in the bedroom??? The worst shade of green for a room. It manipulates the colors of other items terribly not to mention makes the complexion look sickly.
ReplyDeleteBut I adore all the windows!!!
Hahaha
DeleteIt's not me either, but it IS interesting.
I think his taste has evolved with the years (and he's an architect, so there's that) and I agree with green. It's a difficult color.
XOXO
Sorry, extremely wealthy man who probably makes more in one year than you make in 20 years... and in Texas.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, he's got the money.
DeleteAnd he reminded me of... you?
XOXO
Love all those windows and the open concept look and feel.
ReplyDeleteYes!
DeleteIt's the best feature in the house(s) IMHO. I think light in a house is such a fantastic feature, it should never be underestimated.
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteQuite the contrast between in and out. Not sure I like the house(s) though. There's eclectic and then there's hodge-podge. This feels like the latter, rather than the former. 🤷♂️ XOXO
I do like the house(s).
DeleteI have visited houses like this, with their quirky character and know the quirky characters that live in them. I think his taste dwindles. He's got an architect's vision but his personal taste supersedes that sometimes...
XOXO
Is he available? I would very much like to go on a date with him. He has a lovely mouth. His house? Perfection. Wow. Great taste. Restrained and elegant. So TIDY. I just... can't C'mon. Tick, tick. The clock is ticking! Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteFix me up.
DeleteHahaha
DeleteSame! Bet the convo is lively and the hanky-panky exciting. He's giving me John Stewart at times and that's not a bad thing.
XOXO
Fuck me. I love everything about the house--save for a few wall color choices and the curvy couches--and the yard and everything. Goddess it is exquisite and rustic and urban and modern and natural. Those windows, with different glass in each pane? Dying.
ReplyDeleteI will be looking for more about this house.
Fuck me. Dying.
xoxo
I love that it's so... unusual?
DeletePeople call it hodgepodge but I think that if it's your house, why the fuck not?
XOXO
