You may have heard that Abbot keeps orchestrating stunt after stunt. The latest? Deploying National Guard to ports of entry to cover them with barbed wire. Yes, very xtian of him. And that immediately all the MAGAt governors started supporting him and 'sending' their 'armies'.
Idiots. It's all posturing. And a plan to destabilize the whole country. I swear since Jabba The Orange came down that escalator, life in the United States is a fucking Jon Le Carré novel.

ReplyDeleteOh, I think most lefties understand what this is...that Thing 45 is killing the legislation for political purposes. Our asshat Magat governor has promised to send our guard troops. Methinks he'll end up a 1-termer now that he's proven himself to be among the Trumpers.
I do, however, disagree with Beau on the civil war thing because the Magat base is keyed up and ready for it if they don't manage to steal the '24 election. They will riot everywhere with their cache of weapons. And I think that's exactly what is scaring the right-wing politicians in leadership roles to bow to 45's bullshit.

ReplyDeleteBeau sure can be the voice of reason. SCOTUS says that the federal government can remove the razor wire. Abbott wants his troops to preclude that from happening. That is where the potential for mayhem lies. How far are they willing to go to stop the removal of the wire?

The really big problem for the GOP is their short term memory issue. They've forgotten what happened on January 6 and that the events of that day outraged America. Well, even though the cultists no longer care, the rest of America does, and initiating a domestic crisis will totally eliminate them as a political party, and again, many will end up in either jail, or dead.

ReplyDeleteHow many Republican businessmen and farmers have used illegal labor while not paying pay roll taxes and social security taxes, a form of tax evasion !
When they go after the illegals, why don't they go after the people that hire them.
Of course, the Republicans will not do that because they would end up putting their own in jail behind bars.
