Oh, Colman....

The moment this nomination came in,

I realized how many firsts that there could be if I did win,

and that's beautiful.

You know, whether it's from the queer community,

whether it's from the Afro-Latino community,

whether it's from the African American community,

whether it's from, you know,

it's so many communities live with me.

I woke up very peaceful.

I woke up a little early, and I just wanted to be very,

I don't know, present and in the moment,

and just recognize the moment.

Recognize the work that I represent,

which is about by Bayard Rustin,

you know, one of the greatest American heroes.

And I'm so happy that his name is now on everyone's tongues

and he's no longer in the shadows of history.

The man has awesome style. Also, representation.

XOXO

P.S. Go watch his movie.

  1. He would have had a very good chance of winning if it hadn't been for Oppenheimer.

    1. I think so too.
His performance was fantastic. Oppenheimer was gonna win all of the Oscars, anyway...

What a moment he’s having. His dedication and hard work made him who he is and he recognizes all that has gone into getting to this moment and who he represents. What an icon.

  3. Wow. Now that's powerful stuff right there...looking good, feeling good. I think Dave's right, if not for Oppenheimer, he would've taken home the naked man with the sword. Though, he'd have had very stiff competition from Jeffery Wright (American Fiction).

    1. Oh yes.
I think Jeffery Wright was fantastic! (he always is) but Colman put up a great fight with Rustin.

  6. A very sharp dresser...a bit too flashy for me. But the good thing is clothes are made to strip off. I would have no problem stripping him. And a great positive guy.
