Bob was talking about Nex Benedict and what Uncle Joe posted about them and I feel I needed to post something about their passing. The thing is, if you don’t know who Nex Benedict is, or what happened to them, I cannot really blame you. The media has been subpar when reporting about their death …
So what did YOU know about Nex before Bob's post or this post right here? Were you up to date? Or have your radar barely registered their killing?

Say their name. Remind people that this is happening, and even if you don't understand trans, non-binary, gender fluidity, if you say nothing and do nothing, it means you are condoning driving people to suicide.

It's horrific. Both the death and the coverage. Too many people have "tuned out" over the past year. It's really time to wake everyone. If we don't the consequences will be catestrophic. Over the weekend, in a hate-filled speech, Thing 45 told everyone exactly what he will do. And promised "a bloodbath" if he loses. We must make sure that loss happens. Yes, it's going to throw us into a very bloody civil war, but the alternative would be living in Russia - or worse.

Yes...I am aware of this and have been following it. I get very angered and heated over the whole thing. Outrageous!!!! And bullying is hitting a new high. Enough with the discrimination against everybody in general!!!! WE ARE ALL HUMAN. I have no qualms about the death gently....I go right for the throat. Those girls should be bullied and treated like they did to Nex...yill they can't take more.Crimes should be punishable by what the culruit did. You steal...your hand is cut off...you rape...your raped...you murder...your murdered. sorry my Cersai side from GOT escapes me at times.

DeleteIt's just unnerving that so many people does not seem to understand that if it happens to one oppressed minority, it'll happen to all minorities.
And those girls must be brought to justice, I agree. They were adult enough to cause somebody's death, so they should be judged accordingly.

I am in Oz, but I knew via T Thorn Coyle, a pagan who is very much on the front lines of social justice. I am grieving for Nex and for all the trans and nonbinary people who should be safe and aren't. When are we going to start jailing people for standing at the pulpit and inciting others to violence? They are culpable. Tina in west oz
