Oh, Naples Street...?

Ok, I'll admit it. I am posting this because, as you know, I like to watch dudes walking around in tight jeans. I also think this house is kind of my 'dream house': It's not too big, it feels spacious and it has a central courtyard reminiscent of those inner gardens you find in some constructions in other countries. It’s like three of my fav things all rolled in a tight little package. Well, not too little…

I think that if I ever find a house with those features, I will have to buy it. Seriously.

So, yes. That's why I'm posting this one here today...

XOXO

Love the materials and the thought put towards the house being practical and beautiful.

  2. Agreed. While I found the outside cold, the interior is spectacular and a huge departure for me and my usual style and taste. I loved I think all the woodwork and the fun neat cut outs here and there, and the kitchen is phenomenal. I'd just add in a few of my items and be done. I don't even mind a lack of color on the walls. Seems to have a nice floorplan too. Imagine that place by candlelight at night.

Can I move in? I may not be big and beefy, but you could watch me walk around in tight jeans. I have ass at least. LOL!!!!!

    1. I think this is one of those houses that 'lives towards the inside' instead of jockeying for curb appeal.
I liked the floor plan (it's for a family, but I'd live there alone or with the man).
And you walking around in tight jeans? All. Day. Long.

  3. The central courtyard is the best thing about that home, it seems to me.

  4. Sorry, it looks too much like an office building, and that courtyard? It looks like it's been sterilized.

    1. I love the practicality and the economy in the design. I don't need picket fences.
And that courtyard is perf. Not worrying about a lawn and using native plants is the way to go.

    HuntleyBiGuy:
I like this house. I believe you’ve posted a courtyard house before, in California, I think. But it was much larger. I like the compactness of this house and I think it’s well appointed.

But I think you may need a bigger house for all us boys that would want to join you. 😎

    1. yes, I have!
I love courtyards. I think the house is compact and it fulfills its function perfectly well. THAT is good design.
And you know I'll have a nice backyard. I'll put you boys up in tents.

  7. Big says,
That is stunning. I could live there. Love that central courtyard, the clean lines. I'd maybe reduce the amount of wood inside - though not all of it. Then I'd also have to put a small pool in that courtyard for skinny-dipping. LOL.

    1. Same.
It's very 'livable'. I actually kind of like the wood inside? It brings warmth and texture and it would save me having to get the expensive artwork I'd probably want LOL.
And yes! That backyard could totally use a pool!

  8. I'm with you, dear. Perfect size. It's lovely. Maybe a little claustrophobic, but then, I need to walk a space before I decide that. Thanks for sharing.

And I think that the central courtyard kind of gives it space and light and it makes the house so much more private!
