Oh, DOWN LOW...?

Oh, I had forgotten about this movie. I watched it last month and kept promising myself to post about it. I think it's in most streamers at this point or on PPV. It's fun, it's deep and it's something we don't usually get: a happy ending that it's a beginning.

It's got Zachary Quinto (who is almost cast against type here?) and Lukas Cage (remember that salad tossing scene in White Lotus?) and a cast of quirky, funny characters that take you for a fun ride. It's loaded with pop culture references and raunchy jokes. Is it Oscar worthy? Probably not. Is it fun? Yes. So go watch it.

XOXO

P.S. I’ve had massages twice and I’ve fallen asleep on both occasions. And I've never had a massage done by a man. I know. I've been deprived...

According to Roku, it’s on Netflix (boo!) and available to rent on Vudu and Prime Video (check it out before you cancel, Dave).

    2. The movie is super fun.
And I imagined it would be on PPV. I have never used Vudu, btw.

  2. The trailer is Age Restricted and blocked. I've never watched White Lotus, never had any interest in it, though Quinto is practically an icon.

    2. Yes, Dave.
There's a link right there. It's standard procedure for YouTube with some videos. White Lotus is super fun. The second one is crawling with the kind of men you follow on insta, so there's that...

If the film is as hilarious as the trailer.... Gonna have to see if it's available on anything we get. Oh, I hope so. I love a black comedy ("Weekend at Bernie's," anyone?). XOXO

  5. That trailer is hilarious! "The Dark Web is built on trust," hahahaha! "Chock full of tastelessness" -- now that's MY kind of movie! I'll have to see if I can find it on one of my streaming services.

But then you throw in Judith Light and Audra "Effing" McDonald, two fabulously talented LGBTQ+ icons and allies, I am am all in.

  7. I love massages!!! I go twice a season if I remember to set it up. I too have fallen asleep. I have had men and women, And then I also have a massage guy who does the whole massage with cock worship and edging. That's heaven too. And I have seen the movie...it is fun and cute. Couldn't get into White Lotus. Heavens knows why. Because a love salad tossing and Jennifier Coolidge.

Massages are very relaxing to me. And massage with cock worship and edging sounds absolutely fab.
LOL I liked both White Lotus seasons. And I'm with you with salads and Jennifer!
The second one had her screaming that the gays wanted to kill her! LOL

  8. I need a fun romp to watch. I have been watching old Joan Crawford films. And revisiting Sex In The City (hasn't aged well.) Thanks for sharing this. I think the quality of gay cinema is rapidly meeting mainstream standards.

What with all the references. Joan Crawford movies are a mood. And SATC is cringey sometimes now.
