Oh, Mr. Gray....

Ok, so this is a good one because Mr. Gray actually IS an interior designer and he has a whole YouTube channel where he goes around talking about trends, and  things people can adopt when decorating and the such. He did talk about Kim Kartrashian's house, though. And he had OPINIONS (that I shared, btw).

It was refreshing seeing someone in that position talking about their OWN quarters. He's got some pretty solid advice, though, and that always counts. By the way, I’d also hate that fucking column. And I love the ambiance. He's done a ton of renter friendly improvements that we all could use and I love the colors and textures he has used. Well played, Mr. Gray.

  1. Evidently he prefers the word organic to round. It looks like a lot of clutter in a very small space. And his favorite color is from Benjamin Moore?

    1. Well, they mean two very different things?
And I don't think it's too cluttered. Would I put some of that stuff up? Probably not. But it's aesthetically pleasing.
And isn't Benjamin Moore a good brand?? I like their Blue Nova and their Teacup Rose.

  2. Oh my God was he annoying, and he totally lost me, as in over it, when he said he did not like gray kitchens. Im my last place my whole apartment kitchen was Gray. Different shades. I got loads of compliments on it. That said I love his Ingenuity and creativity especially in a space that's is temporary or when we don't own. I was in my last apartment for 26 years and my landlord absolutely loved what I did to it. Just because it's an apartment or rented condo doesn't mean you can't make it your own. Where ever I lived I always had to make sure my bedroom is gigantic. My bed alone is a large Queen not to mention the chair the dresser the chifferobe two nightstands.....

    1. I also don't like when designers say people make mistakes. I view interior design as an extension of art in away. I feel there is no right or wrong. If that what a client wants and they enjoy it, a win.. Art and design for me are in the eye of the beholder...it all subjective like any art...but if that person is happy.

    2. I agree; what I like, and what i put together in my house, may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's no mistake!

    3. I like that his apartment does not look like a rental.
It's very sophisticated, I think. And I should edit that. He does not talk about what people DID he talks about trends and what influencers think is fashionable, for example (like all your house being DIY). You know that some things are just WRONG and people adopt them because they're trendy. Like when everybody and their uncle was doing Grandmillenial because it was a thing on instagram?

  3. Girl has some baggage, er, bags!
I agree about the original art; we have a great many things that friends have painted or made for us and those memories made the pieces more valuable to us.
I agree about that motherfucking pillar; ruins the room in so many ways!
I enjoyed the tour; he's way gay and kinda funny with his OCD; but I'm with him on the "a place for everything and everything in its place."

    1. Oh, you saw that right?
I think I saw a LV one. Jelly.
And I think that things of art that someone made are the BEST. And if you know me, by now you know that 'a place for everything' is my mantra.

Many of us do live in shoeboxes in the sky, TBH.
And yes, that's a big dog. I'd rather have a Chihuahua in a one bedroom apartment....

For a one person place that is a rental, I think he’s done a fantastic job. Yes you will have to make sacrifices, like colors in the space, but he does a fantastic job of “accessorizing” his space.

And he had you at “IKEA” and “H&M” didn’t he?

It's classy and sophisticated and colorful. And he did have me at Ikea and at H&M. It should be illegal to know me this well, babes.

  6. Big says,
No greys? We have greys in different shades and textures throughout the house. So, fuck him! LOL. So much of what he recommends is spot on. The mirror opposite the windows to reflect light. Groupings of 3 things but making sure texture and size are a mixture. Stacking coffee tables? Yep, got those, too. That support column - what a bizarre placement. The architect really screwed the pooch on that one but he's gone around it creatively. XOXO
p.s. "sad tissues" - "happy tissues" ~ why, I don't know what he means!!! 🤣🤣

I think mirrors are essential in small spaces. Essential. And that support column!! Really.

  7. Poor puppy. To live with so much style! Well good for him. Now someone needs to teach that man how to dress. That outfit is awful.

Oh, the snark! The apartment is indeed stylish. I think it needs to be, him being an interior designer.
