Oh, Mr. Vernon...?

I think Tobias is right: "creating an interior is a feeling". When we step into a house, that's what we get: a feeling. You need balance, though, to get that feeling.

I love what they've done with this townhouse (look at the kitchen and the sitting room) and I love the way color has been introduced. That's how I think you should do it: with intent. And that main bedroom? My inspo for when I move to my apartment. I wish I'd have a house like this to have that little room and that suite in the top floor, TBH. And I don't even like wallpaper.

And there's a 'dressing room'? Do want.

XOXO

  1. I kinda like this; the use of color isn't too much, it seems purposeful. I even like the bod choices in the kitchen that are muted a bit by white walls and open shelving.
I don't think, though, that I'd be moving things around as much as he does ... that's like a full-time job!

    1. There you go: that's how you use white, too!
And I like moving things. You've seen my place. I move things around when I do deep cleaning because I find it fun: it makes me look at my place with new eyes.

  2. Big says,
Yeah, get the art off the floor and hang it on a wall. What a concept! LOL. Some of the rooms are quite nice (Living and Kitchen), but a lot of the rooms look... not cluttered, but....messy. The wallpaper would make me dizzy - too busy and too much of it. Accent walls work, IMO, surrounded doesn't. XOXO

    1. Oh, apparently it is a thing.
I just visited someone and I saw artwork on the floor. I find the upstairs rooms charming, though. And even though I am not a wallpaper girlie, I kind of like it here? IDK.

  3. it's cluttered. He must have way too much time on his hands if he's constantly rearrange, or else he's so terribly indecisive nothing will ever work.

    1. See? And I don't think it's all that cluttered.
His placement of things is very stylish and everything kind of stands out without being maximalist.
And I thought everybody moved their stuff around when they dusted/seasonally? That's what I do...

    HuntleyBiGuy:
This is nice. I like the choice of colors throughout, especially the bold, contrasting colors in the kitchen. I agree with him on the color choice for the stairway; nice to walk through, but I don’t think it would work in a living space. Well, maybe a guest room?

    1. It is!
And I like color with a purpose (that kitchen/stairway is a good example. Notice that color is sprinkled throughout the house and the eye has time to rest...

  5. Fun, and not overdone. All the white helps. It keeps the focus on his precious things. Not sure about that bathroom tile. But... to each their own. Kizzes.

    1. I agree.
I love it when people let things shine against a neutral background. And I actually liked the bathroom...
