Cannon -a backwater, insignificant, barely there judge- was plucked out of obscurity, paid and put in the position of ruling over one of the most consequential cases in American history to help Von ShitzInPants, of course. Don Fartleone and his minions knew what they were doing when they appointed Cannon to be in charge of this specific case: it would follow the Deny, Derail, Delay technique Cheeto has follow his whole crooked life.

A federal appeals court will no longer accept complaints about Aileen Cannon, the judge presiding over the federal criminal case against Donald Trump in Florida, that appear to be part of an “orchestrated campaign.”
The May 22 opinion from the 11th Circuit Judicial Council, which oversees lower courts in Florida, said that since May 16, 2024, the clerk has received more than 1,000 complaints “that raise allegations that are similar to the allegations raised in previous complaints.” The council ordered the court clerk to stop accepting similar complaints.
It’s not clear what exactly started the onslaught of complaints after May 16. Last month, Cannon indefinitely postponed the start of the trial in the Trump case, where he has been accused of mishandling classified documents.

So, now she'll study that one for weeks on end. It's not a surprise.

Supposedly, she wasn't chosen for this case, her name was randomly drawn from a number of other names, but she has done everything within the legal limits to slow this case down to a snail's pace. They're no longer accepting complaints because they're all copy and paste; it's not the number that count. The Appeals court is working their way through, and because it's Florida, and Trump Country, they're not too being too speedy to have her removed. That will happen, I don't doubt, after he loses the election.

DeleteShe had already ruled over a previous Cheeto case when she got this one. I don't trust that. And she has indeed gone above and beyond to string this along for as long as possible. The NY case was the most 'difficult' case and he was convicted. If they go along with this one, he'll get convicted again. They are trying to get him to the presidency so that doesn't happen.
