Oh, Drew...?

Oh, you know Drew. He's been featured here before.

His business is so good that he bought a house (in California!!) and as a good self-employed gay, he proceeded to use every square foot of it for his YouTube channel (and his business) and here he gives us the grand tour of the place. It’s amazing how much he transformed the place. He used the house’s style and time period as a springboard and here we can see the results.

I'm going to let you watch it yourself and draw your own conclusions (because you're gonna do it anyway, duh) but I'll have to say that I'm impressed. From a fashion influencer to a DIY YouTuber to an online seller, Drew has grown before our eyes in the last year or so. And I have to say that even though we don't have the exactly same aesthetic, I like what I'm seeing. A lot.

XOXO

  1. Love the house; Spanish Revival is one of my favorite styles. I love the home and some of the hacks and the paint colors and beams and such. I could easily live there, but I loathe the way he speaks and that whole going up at the end of each sentence makes me insane, so i kinda muted him and just looked at the rooms which I love.
Best idea? The TV on the easel; brilliant.

    1. The house is fab.
He did a great job with the colors and the things he brought to showcase the house style. Good ideas. Agree with the easel! You know how I feel about TVs in the house.
Oh, yes, very Valley Girl/GenZ. At least he hasn't got a vocal fry...

I really like this house. The style is great and the kitchen is marvelous. Turning the duplex into a single give you one huge home!

    1. Oh, the returning to house to a single-family house was brilliant.
It's a huge house, but he's got his roomie. The kitchen is fantastic.

  3. I personally loved the house itself, the design elements and structure itself , like the windows, beams, columns.... more than the interior design. To rustic feeling for me personally. I like rustic but when done more urban feeling, figure that one out, since I don't care for modern to much. That said...the kitchen? The fucking showstop of the house!!!! Very well done and executed.

    1. I also think the house had great bones to start with.
He did a great job by brining the details to the forefront. I do find it a tad rustic overall, but I think he did a good job with the decor in most places.
The kitchen is fantastic. He did a whole video about it.

  4. That is a horrible couch. Bad color. Bad texture. I like that he keeps most spaces sparse. It's a cloying creeping little house. I feel closed in at every turn. Dining room chairs... meh. Painted doors... no. He's sweet and he's done a great job, he has a good eye. But his house needs a rummage sale and a makeover.

    1. Ha!
I like the couch but I see what you mean. I believe it's Bouclé and that is a very trendy material. He'll probably change it in a year or two. He does a great job with the negative space. It adds room to breathe to the house. And I actually liked the accent on the doors?

  5. Big says,
Ummm....I like some elements. A duplex into a single - absolutely. The wood and beam ceilings are great because they are limited in use, the kitchen is well-appointed but galley layouts suck for actual cooking. I'm with upton: Painted doors? No. Just...no. I', also with Bob - his speech pattern is cringe-inducing. LOL.

    1. Those beams!
I think he researched them and they are typical of the style and time the house was built. The kitchen is great and I don't think he'd cook much? So there's that.
And yes, he's got a very particular speech pattern...

  6. Not bad, still a bit too cluttered for me. Old White = Antique White (same color). I would never buy anything on Facebook Market Place, too much of a risk unless you're rich and don't mind throwing away money now and then.

    1. See, I did not think it was cluttered.
He creates tableaus and motifs around the house, but uses negative space and clean lines in most furniture to allow it to breathe.
I have no idea what Facebook Marketplace is or how it works, but apparently he got a ton of stuff there to make over and it looks good.

  7. Love the house and the feel of the design. I could live there. And he is a cutie...but that voice. But that's what a cock or ball gag is for.

And now that you said ball gag I'm thinking about many other things...
