Oh, a great flow...?
So, here's the thing: I have decided that I need to stretch a little before I do my daily walk/run/exercise. And that’s because I don't want to hurt myself. I'm clumsy and definitely non-athletic, so a little warm up always comes handy. And I have a bad back. But you already knew that.
I was reading Mr. Shife's blog and he was talking about doing Hot Heavy Metal Aerial Yoga and think I'm gonna try Aston's moves. I used to do Yoga a long time ago (I had a gurlfriend who took me to her yoga studio with her because misery loves company) and I think it's something worth considering. Especially for someone who really does not enjoy working with weights. I'm always afraid I'm going to fucking hurt myself with those things.
Have you ever tried Aston's moves? Go ahead, tell me. After all, it's just between us... and the internet.

ReplyDeleteI started doing yoga a few years ago for the stretching aspect of it because I, too, am clumsy and a walking, talking tripper. I think it helps.

ReplyDeleteYou should. You'll be surprised how much it helps. I used to do naked yoga or naked tantric yoga (depending on the yogi that week) once per week. (And tantric massage, too.) I always felt good after those because it helped the M.D.. Covid put a stop to it all and I totally miss it. I suppose the yoga could be done at home, watching a video, tried it in fact, but it's just not the same and I didn't keep up with it.

How lovely. Now... keep in mind... one needn't reserve stretching and exercise to a single time period. Periodically, throughout the day, take a moment and reach for the ceiling. Get up on your tippy toes. The bend over and take it... all the way to the floor. Practice those squats sans weights, too... press that booty towards the floor, boys. Yes... every bit helps. It's how we keep our 'youthful' figures and continue to bring all the boys to the yard (no matter how much they protest!). Kisses.

DeleteFlexibility is essential. I know of men who are muscle bound and cannot touch their knees! All that mass and no flexibility. I love squats. My idols are those porn stars who just SIT on it.

I have a friend who teaches yoga and she said all the time I could come and she give me free classes. But the only exercise I do anymore is cardio....and its when Im in a bed!!!!
