Oh, Derek…
Oh, yes. Gotta love it when a fashion/ tailoring connoisseur can give you a TedTalk on classism, social inequity, politics and intersectionality in a tweeter thread. If you are on twitter, make sure you follow @derekguy He not only KNOWS men's fashion, he's been known to obliterate idiots into the stratosphere.
If there's anything left on twitter worth following, it's his feed.
XOXO
Well, he kicked some ass, didn't he?

ReplyDeleteDerek has some great commentary and he doesn’t hold back. I enjoy his threads (pun intended). He’s quick witted and brings the tea.

I have a blazer that I wear every so often and I get all kinds of compliments on it, and then I tell people I bought it at a thrift store in the 90s and paid $1.50 for it.
ReplyDeleteFashion doesn't have to cost an arm and a leg.

Big says,
DeleteA friend of mine (now deceased) bought all his clothes at thrift stores. Designer suits and stuff that he picked up for less than $20. It's a very wise move.
Thanks. I dumped Twitter a long time ago and have no plans to go back. He should move is threads to Threads since Twitter will be dead soon.

ReplyDeleteI didn't think anyone was truly on Twitter anymore since the Apartheid Twit bought it. But I gotta hand it to him - he knows of what he speaks. I think. LOL. I think of fashion as I do home design: I like what I like and trendy does nothing but get people to spend their money. My 501s, t-shirts, and sports jacket have served me well for... Well, you know I'm old, so.....
XOXO
I have a Twitter that the Lad curates for me...but I very seldom am ever on there. So I have never seen this guy page. I should pop in more. Heavens knows what the Lad is posting!!!š
ReplyDeleteThis Guy is pretty awesome. I will have to hunt down his feed and get some fashion help because I certainly need it. I really don't want Zuck to be my fashion inspiration.
