Oh, the sixth..?

Oh hunny. This is good.

For those who think Drag is just pretty girls, there's Dragula. This is a fantastic contest. Not for the faint of heart, though. Pity this is not on YouTube anymore. It's worth a watch ....

But they did need to have a reward for all that talent and going on Shudder was predictable. In any case, this intro is worth a watch.

XOXO

P.S. The @BouletBrotheres (who are NOT brothers) are awesome.

The creativity is off the charts. Doing horror drag really removes all filters, I think.

    1. It is!
I love this kind of Drag. It reminds me of the Drag artists I met when I was a wee gayling...

  3. This season is a little too out there for me...so Ill be passing. And I find it interesting Aurora Gosmic is on this season. Historically she is considered a glam girl. I think some girls have desperately tried to get on Drag Race so long to no avail....they change there style to get on here. In my opinion this is even more work and creativity than regular drag. Kudos to them.

Truth be told...I could just watch an hour of the Boilers. They mix horror and glam together beautifully.

    2. Oh, I'd watch.
I do have to admit that sometimes the challenges do freak me out (there was one in season two, I think where they were covered with bugs. I freaked out). And I think that it's good that girls find out that Drag Race is not for them and try Dragula.
      Long Live Weird Drag.

      And the Boulets are FASCINATING.

Loved it. And I agree with you that's much more interesting than RPDR.

The freakier and the weirder the more creative. It's HARD to pull off this kind of Drag.

    1. Well, it was free for three seasons on YouTube.
Then Shudder (or AMC+?) brought them in. I think it was about time they got some money for their hard work!

  7. The BF mentioned this the other day, that they were starting a 6th season. Maybe I will steer him in that direction this weekend. My favorite queens on RuPaul are always the ones that go a bit dark... I even saw Sharon Needles in concert! Drawing outside the lines... and creating something new? Yes... I love that kind of drag. You know... at the same time? I do miss drag that was just funny. In a Rusty Warren kind of way? Beehives with a cig hanging outta their mouth babes with torpedo breasts. Yes.

I think it's a great series. And a very good change from RPDR. And I agree with you. I miss the time when all the Drag artists I knew would raid the thrift shops and could come up with fabulous Drag on a Dime.
