Oh, Drag, The Musical...?

Oh, a combination of Kinky Boots, Willy Wonka, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Rent, Bat out of Hell, La Cage aux Folles and the Sex Pistols?

I'm in, Daddy. I'm in.

Yes, that was for @PaulWontorek.

XOXO

P. S. Now, more than ever, Drag is subversive.

    1. I know, right??
I would pay to go see that. And Alaska is cute out of Drag.

  2. Big says,
I'd see it in a theatre venue near me!
He's a bit annoying in this interview, though --- comes across very whiny. Stand up, be enthusiastic, and proud of the work.

    1. I'd see it, too.
And I think there's a little bit of trying to be a little bit blasé but I'm sure he's very proud of what they've achieved.

  3. If I'm remembering correctly, Alaska got into a wee bit of trouble of his political views.

    1. Yes, she did.
She issued a public apology, though. Not everybody can be Bianca Del Rio.
And how come you know so much about the Ru Girls???

  4. My friend DJ is trying to secure his tickets to go see this. Alaska looks strongly stunning in this play. And bunny has already seen it, and said it is utterly fabulous and genius. And Lady bunny being a drag Legend does not impress easily. Especially when it comes to drag race Queens.

Ask him what he thinks of it! And Bunny approves? Whoa. Color me stunned.

Gay people have always been in theater, in front of and behind the curtains, so yes.

  7. Back in the HATIES - I did an AIDS fundraiser with a bunch of drag queens. Everybody drank too much. And they were a hateful lot. Backstage was territorial and bitchy. Since that experience, I have avoided the scene. So, if a gay male version of ShowGirls is your idea of fun? Have at it.

    1. Hahaha
      The Haties? True, though.
And yes, Drag Queens are very territorial and bitchy. And I can imagine they were even more back then. Remember: gay men shunned them and they were relegated to Wednesday night shows, when nobody was at the bars.
And I would absolutely enjoy a gay male version of ShowGirls. THAT would be high camp!

      XOXO
