Oh, Erik....!
I know, I know. It's big. But it's so pretty! And I would kind of literally die of joy if I could just go to my garden and pick up everything I needed for flower arrangements and veggies for my house. I love to have fresh cut flowers in the house.
And lowkey this totally inspired me to keep gardening a little even though I don't have the backyard I used to have when we lived in the house. Apartment living does not allow for a garden sometimes. I'm going to have to get me five square feet in the manfriend's house for myself so I can get back into it.
Container gardening it is!!!
XOXO
Do you have urban community gardens where you live? I don't know how easy it is to get a little plot there, either. Gardening doesn't tempt me. It's a lot of work, and I'm lazy.
ReplyDeleteI have seen them in the city, not the suburbs.
DeleteAnd I think you do need to belong to the neighborhood to get a little plot there.
Gardening (at my own pace) relaxes me. Really.
XOXO
I have lots of flowers and I never cut them. Once you do that they die, fade, and disappear very fast.
ReplyDeleteBig says,
DeleteThat's why we don't get or give flowers. We'd rather see them on the plants.
But THAT is the part of the charm: they are ephemeral and beautiful.
DeleteI would like to have cutting flowers in my garden because I can take silk flowers just that much...
XOXO

ReplyDeleteThis is a long video. I watched a little of it and it’s gorgeous with breathtaking view$.
XOXO 👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
It is long.
DeleteI think the woman at Homeworthy needs an editor.
But the house is fab.

We do a lot of growing veggies and herbs on our back deck, with railing planters and deck planters; tomatoes and peppers and such are easy and abundant.
ReplyDeleteFlowers grow in the yard, camellias and roses and popcorn bush flowers and lilac and we just clean them out about once a year.
Love that idea.
DeleteHerbs and veggies during spring/summer and part of fall is fabulous. And I'd LOVE to have a lilac bush!!
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteWhat. A. Gorgeous. Place. Oh, yeah, he speaks my language. Except for the garden. Our last house had roses...tons of roses. They were a lot of work, but I couldn't let them go wild and couldn't bring myself to let them wither. Here, the wife tried an herb garden --- didn't work.
Raised beds are the way to go when you start, um, getting, um...old like me. LOL.
XOXO
It is fab.
DeleteAnd I love the garden. This kind of garden is for someone with time, though. It's a full time job.
I'm gonna try an herb garden this year. Wish me luck!!
XOXO
When I lived in my little pied de terre and Bucks County I did a container garden on the big front porch we had, and that was satisfying. But now that I'm at the ancestral home I've gotten very spoiled with gardening. He does have a stunning house, and I never thought I'd say something's too big!
ReplyDeleteContainer gardens are fab.
DeleteI'm planning on doing one with annuals and maybe one with herbs...
And that IS a big house.
XOXO
We have nothing planted at our new apartment. I miss that bit of joy.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fab to have something 'plant' at home?
DeleteI would love to have herbs for cooking.
XOXO
So.. it's a little like living in a park building. It is a cold space. I do like it, though and he's done a lot with it (maybe too much). I could live there... for a week. It's just too alien for me to warm up to.
ReplyDeleteHahaha
DeleteWell, not as close to living in a park building, but it's big.
I really like what he's done with the house, TBH. But I covet the garden.
XOXO
