Oh, Fuck, Marry, Kill. Loft Bedroom edition...?
Well, you know what to do...
Hypothetically speaking, of course. Because for this series we always speak in hypotheticals.
Go ahead, live a little!
XOXO
That's the title of one of my favourite songs. The most lethal, the most essential thing is to hear your own voice. Also, keeping up with the idea of writing as catharsis, this one blog is dedicated all to myself. More solipsism would be hard to find. And I like it like that. Oh, and this is a queer (and self-proclaimed 'ADULT') blog so go ahead, make your day... mine is done.
I rarely do the hypotheticals because I know that my designs are always so much better.

DeleteSure, Jan.

Um, as usual I will go against the grain and Kill Darren and Noz; him because the room is TOO FUCKING MUCH and her because I don't need an adult nursery!
ReplyDeleteThat leaves Xavier who I will marry and fuck and live happily ever after in that moody bedroom!
xoxo
Welllllll... If I have to, I’ll go with Xavier (for the room design, too). Noz’s colors/patterns make me nervous. Too much going on in Darren‘s design. Tell Xavier to call me.
DeleteI thought Darren was too much (I know, shocking!) But I liked the geometry in Noz's room.
DeleteXavier was the choice, of course. Loved his ideas.
And I think he's going to get A LOT of phone calls! LOL
XOXO

ReplyDeleteI’m with Bob on this one. Drop Darren and Noz out the window. Xavier brings a very warm, utilitarian solution to the space. Perfect for cuddling with Xavier. 😎
XOXO👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
Xavier's was the choice for me, too.
DeleteSurprisingly, I did not find Noz's design too overwhelming. Even that little cushion with horns was cute!!
XOXO
IMHO they're all in trouble for covering up the beautiful wood floor; Xavier redeemed himself by acknowledging the space and using that as his starting point; the panelling is a mature choice. I'm not with him on the murals, but it was not emetic like Noz's carpet choice and grid. Noz's overall design was consistent, but I think that it just screams overwrought dorm room. If this is for a young professional intent upon developing into an adult, it should reflect moving toward more mature or adult choices. Iris Apfel was probably the last person who could pull off eclectic. Acknowledge the Master and don't waste time imitating. Darren's round platform for the bed just screams 1970's Playboy Mansion (and not in a good way); I suspect that he chose the green rug only because he couldn't find an equally unfortunate shag rug. Kudos for the spatial definition of a more private screened area behind the bed, but this was offset by the huge desk somewhat dominating the room. I find waking up and looking across the room at the desk depressing. I want just a little bit of separation between rest and the rest of life.
DeleteFor their transgressions, Noz and Darren will be locked in a Walmart in Bakersfield for a month - longer if they fail to see the errors of their ways.

LOL I know, right?
DeleteThe floor was such an asset. But I understand because being a bedroom in a top floor maybe they wanted some insulation. My fav was Xavier's. I actually liked the proposal Noz made but I can see your point.
I usually love what Darren does, but he lost me here....
XOXO
OMG....I actually liked one of these for a change...Hands down Xavier. Clean, not fussy, chic, modern but warm feeling... and yet very gentlemanly.
ReplyDeleteIsn't his design fab???
DeleteI would live there in a heartbeat. Loved those little green lamps...
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteOMG. Kill Darren and Noz. Sorry.... Xavier, well, maybe I'd fuck him but I wouldn't marry him unless he got rid of the murals. One wall, dude. ONE.
XOXO
Hahahaha
DeleteI would marry Xavier. I think his treatment was the best. And I don't mind the murals, I like his justification from them and he could pull them off because of all that space..
XOXO
Ugh. Overkill with the design aspects. I'm gonna kill 'em all. Sorry. I can't believe that took that wonderful space and mucked it up so much. There is so much inherent beauty in the space as it was. What's with the brown forest? And, no, I don't want to sleep on the set of a film or hello kitty hell. Meh.
