Oh, Mr. Graci....!
Oh, a mix of late victorian and craftsman? In New Orleans? I'm in. I don’t like the South, but New Orleans? Come on!
I also like this shotgun kind of house (we don't see it often here in the Midwest) and I really like how he took a double shotgun and made it one house. The palette he uses is fab and it definitely showcases the artwork and furniture, which I think it's the role it should fulfill. I need to have room to appreciate the art.
Ok, so what about that little powder room? And he wishes the kitchen were smaller? I think it's great and I don’t even cook that much. Love the little room for small gatherings with the little bar and the smaller table and the books and records.
BTW, his house (and him) somehow reminded me of Mads?
XOXO
I like the shotgun layout, but otherwise? Did you count the number of times he says "I."
ReplyDeletehahaha
DeleteNo, I did not. And he was talking about his house and what he did in it, so... it makes sense he uses 'I' ??
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of the shotgun. But, taking a duplex shotgun and opening it up helps lose the "bowling alley" feel. The powder room? No. What's the point of having artwork so high up on a wall that it can't bee seen and enjoyed? Unless it's stuff other gifted to you and you really wanted to stuff it in a closet forever but it came from a friend.... LOL. Nice kitchen despite the galley layout. That island "chopping block" is gorgeous but the first person who tried to do any chopping on it would be sentenced to death....
XOXO
I thought so, too.
DeleteThe joining of the two houses is genius. Probably expensive, but look at the results. I loved the powder room, though...
LOL @ the chopping block..
XOXO
I agree that the "chopping" block is for looks only; lay a knife into it and you're dead.
ReplyDeleteI do, though, like the powder room packed with art and becoming almost overdone.
I'd like to have seen the front since he said it was the architecture [Victorian Craftsman] that drew him to the house.
xoxo
Hahaha
DeleteYou and Big rule the kitchen, I see.
And l also loved that powder room. I love a statement.
Same about the front of the house.
XOXO
I like what I saw but I couldn’t watch it all. He got on my nerves. Sorry!
ReplyDeleteLOL
DeleteWhat? He's adorable!
XOXO
Great taste, pretentious as hell.
ReplyDeleteRex in DC
Well, probably.
DeleteBut he's cute and apparently has the means, so... yeah?
XOXO
Does he... did he... umm... did he tuck his sweater into his jeans? Tucked his sweater into his jeans? Stuffed it in there. Evened it all out. bloused it just the tiniest bit. Did he? Hmm. Yeah. I'm not taking any advice from him ever. Kizzes.
ReplyDeleteThe house, Upton.
DeleteThe house...! LMAOOOO
XOXO
