When it comes to people, it is much better for us -who may not belong to that specific group- to let them inform us. Then we can become better allies, listeners and supporters. And learn something.
So why don’t we just sit back and listen, for a change?

Or better yet, maybe just let them live in peace. One of the big problems facing any community is their belief that if people understand they will be more accepting. That's not true. Understanding does not change bias. People who hate usually do so because they've been taught since early childhood to hate. I have a religious friend in the medical field who understands completely, but that does not change the fact that in his mind God says this is wrong.

This also reminds me of how young queens get "rude" of trans people like they do the older crowd. I guess because they are not young and gorgeous, they can't relate. But they miss out on much, and first-hand accounts of life, and lifestyles and struggles many faced or face. To me, knowledge is power. All because they are not the norm? I like talking to all types, listening and learning.
