I just saw her on a local concert show here where she and Brittany Howard performed...very different music, but both equally as good. Yes... more coverage for them, but then I also think the more well known, they then lose that edge and grass root creative vibe....so sometimes I like the vibe they have when they are small. A loyal fan will support, search out and go see them if they like them. Our local bands here do phenomenally well.

It popped in a lot and when you could hear what I assume was her natural voice, I wanted more of that!
DeleteA bit blues-y, a bit jazzy. Yeah, I like it. Though I do agree with Bob - I'd like to hear her sing it without the the hip-hop tinged music. And, someday, just maybe a vocalist will come along with a fantastic set of pipes and just sing a fucking song without all the gimmicky trills and runs and shit. But, that's just me....
