Oh, so no Pinkwashing…?
This Pride season, put your money where your heart is. Do NOT BUY Pride apparel (or anything) from businesses that do not support YOU. *I’m looking at you, target*
Also, follow @everwhereisqueer and lgbtqgoodnews on insta!

Happy Pride!
P. S. Talking about Target:
You forgot to mention that because of boycotts, Target's sales are in rapid decline and they've downgraded their estimated profits.
ReplyDeleteOh, no. I didn't.
DeleteThis post was for the Anti-Target: for brands that DO support diversity.

Happy Pride!
DeleteAnd fuck the pinkwashers!!!

Target can shove their "Pride" hoodie where the sun don't shine.
ReplyDeletexoxo
Absolutely.
DeleteI have never put a foot in their stores ever since they caved to Mango Mussolini.
XOXO
In MAGA America, I imagine a lot of stores won't be displaying any rainbow merchandise this year to try to cash in on Pride. So many have already capitulated to the anti-DEI command.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's absolutely worrying.
DeleteI know some brands/stores that have not caved but many have. So sad.
XOXO
The Felon's administration has cowed the largest corporations, law firms, and media into silence and pulling support. That means it's up to the community and its allies - again. Despite fewer "functions" during Pride due to lack of funding, go anyway. Support anyway.
ReplyDeleteXOXO
And that's incredible!
DeleteIt tells you that they were not truly Allies. There were some that surprised me for standing up to Velveeeta Voldemort, though...
XOXO
I wonder what the majority of US retailers will be doing this Pride. That Target hoodie is classy! Thanks for all these!
ReplyDeleteOh, if you are going to support a brand for Pride, follow any of the links.
DeleteDo NOT do Target or any other of the idiots who think we forget they caved to Jabba the Orange.
XOXO
Fuck them all! I only buy from gay owned companies, site and artist for anything gay and beyond. Those straights and straight companies are nice to our face and money, but nope, not anymore. Most are two faced and or not true supporters. I'm proud to say in the whole of Philly's parade, only three floats were a corporate sponsor down from the usual 20 or so. Did the floats look cheap? Sure, but who cares...it's cosmetic and doesn't really mean a thing. It means far more with bar and gay owned bizz floats anyhow.
ReplyDeleteHappy Pride!💓🧡💛💚💙💜
Same!
DeletePeople ask me 'why bother?' and I let them have it.
And we really don't need corporations. I remember when Pride parades where just some floats and tons of people and music. You are right: it's just cosmetic.
