Oh, Clark…!

Superman was my sexual awakening.

You see, I was a comic books kid. It was a treat getting a new one and then going to my room to read it (we're talking last century, people!) and knowing what had happened to my favorite super heroes. I was also partial then to DC (Superman, Aquaman, Batman, Poison Ivy...) but I would branch out to some Marvel characters later.

But I was always partial to Superman. And I was a wee gayling, mind you. I did not know that I was gonna be very partial to cock. I didn't even have a clear idea of what sex was but I did know that Superman made me feel all warm inside and that I wanted him to take me flying around Metropolis instead of Lois. It may have been the jutting chest and the long legs. Or the way he was bumbling and awkward as Clark Kent but self-assured and lethal when he was Superman. Who knows? I just knew I wanted Superman to be with me. I wanted to be the focus of his affection.

I have not read comics in ages. I haven't bought a comic book in many, many years (the last comic book I received was from Huntley, a limited edition he got for me) but I did go see the new Superman movie this past weekend. And I rediscover why it is that I was so into Superman when I was kid: he's the people's hero. And he's hot as hell.

James Gunn's Superman was kind of prescient in the sense that the movie was written and started production way before we would have Mango Mussolini in power and Leon and his DOGE idiots destroying parts of the government, but it feels very NOW. I guess supervillains will always try to destroy everything out of ego and spite (even when they look as great as Nicholas Hoult playing Lex Luthor).

I also saw the movie in 3D (a treat!!) and it was everything the comics were to me: Superman is still super hot (6'4", 240 lbs of hotness) and still kind, compassionate, fair, generous and shows empathy and integrity. So if you've ever been a Superman fan, I totally recommend the movie. Even if you're not a Superman fan but like cool, fun super heroes or just like a good story, I still recommend the movie. Especially if you see it in 3D.

It's fab.

XOXO

P.S. the incel manosphere and the MAGAts are melting over the movie, so... points?

Reports are varied - some love it, some hate it. (Boring is how it's been described to me.) It kind of amazes me that he didn't go all the way back to the beginnings of the character on film --- you know, the original TV Superman of the 50s. There's where you'll find the innocence to imbue. On the other hand - Nicholas Hoult??? Oh, yes, please!
    XOXO
