Oh, Plainclothes..?
I like this kind of stories. Yes, they may have been explored, but it's the 90's. You remember the 90's, right? That's where the MAGAt Repugs want to send us back. It's also a time that is worth as much a revisit as the 80's. There was some progress but there were still shame and scorn attached to the 'gay' label. Many things changed in the 90's but many things were still the same as they were in the 60's. I think this is a good look back. Especially for the gay men of the Grindr era and its All You Can Eat buffet.
Worth a watch.

P.S. I know some of you are partial to Russel Tovey cause he's built and fuckable. And he's a serviceable actor. I should know, I watched all of Looking on HBO when it came out. But I also still remember when he said what he said about effeminate men, though. Easy to say that when you are a masc4masc dude, no? Thank goodness his dad didn't let him be 'that way' and now we have him here, playing the older gay man....

Having lived through the decades, things eased up with the hippies and communes, then were sent back to the closet. Yes, the MAGAts want to send the country as far back as they can --- to a point where any "other" lives in fear.
