Oh, Plasma!
You don’t have to win RPDR to ‘make it’ nowadays. Many Queens are witness to that fact and people should understand that they go on the reality competition to be seen.
There are several Drag Artists that have not won the reality show and are insanely talented and are yet very successful. @plasmanyc is one of those examples. Not only because she can turn a Dior look but because she’s one of the ‘theatre kids’ that make it in the competition. She’s actually got a BFA in theater from the University of Oklahoma (from all places!).
This girl can actually sing and act and loves the ‘girls’ some of us love (Barbra, Bernadette, Liza, Patty, Judy) and serves diva very well. Just take a look at this video she made of this classic song. She'll be fine. Even without the title.
Enjoy!
XOXO
P.S. this one’s for Big.

ReplyDeleteSo many people who don’t “win” on the reality shows, end up winning the popularity lottery and making a career for themselves. You don’t have to win on Ru, America’s Got Talent, or any of the other talent shows. But the exposure can propel you to new heights.
XOXO 👨🏼❤️💋👨🏽
Absolutely.
DeleteBut (and that's a nice but) you need talent. Take Adam Lambert, for example. I cannot remember who won American Idol that time....
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thanks! 😘😘😘 She does a nice rendition, making it her own. Love, love, love the little wink.
Huntley is right - the exposure is what gets them noticed, the talent will propel them forward.
XOXO
This is actually a very good rendition. She does a very good job.
ReplyDeleteThis was a blast!
ReplyDeleteOutstanding!
ReplyDeleteI adore and love plasma! I don't like him out of drag so he should stay dressed as plasma all the time he's much more pleasant. And I agree with you. Oftentimes the queens that don't win end up with pretty big drag careers. And are sometimes even more popular than the winner.
ReplyDeleteI also give plasma credit for using local girls and not real girls in her video. It was nice to see Selma Nilla, who is a New York Legend in her own right and Vanity LeVain.
DeleteI saw this a few weeks back somewhere in the blog-o-sphere and just loved it. I like when these queens starts stepping up and out.
ReplyDeleteI say Brava!
