Oh, Mr. Gaino....
Oh, honey. Turn on the closed captions because this one is fab.
It’s in an iconic São Paulo building and the details are to die for: cool finds, awesome design and quirky touches. Love the furniture, the artwork, the records (and the record player/sound system!) and that bathroom!!
I also like that he introduced color in a very subtle way that makes the gallery wall stand out. And how talented is his sister??
And the mustache!
XOXO
I find some of the wall colors sort of murky and depressing, but love the eclectic furnishings. I love the way he arranged the art on the gallery wall and lovelovelove what his sister did; that I would like to try in my house.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing? That black and pink sink. I want one!
xoxo
LOL!!!!! In my grandmother's home she had a pick and black tile bathroom...and the sink was just like that...black with a pink interior. And I mean the whole room was pink and black!!!!!!
DeleteI think I don't mind the colors?
DeleteAnd I think his sister is super creative. I'd put that on my walls in a heartbeat. And pink and black tile bathroom? I'm in.
As @Mads said, it was ALL OR NOTHING.
XOXO
Big says,
ReplyDeleteGreat space.... I like the gallery wall - that's the way to allow the artwork to stand out and add the color to a room. The speakers are definitely 70s - those are Coral, high end at the time. Looks like the shower walls are solid slab - so much easier to keep clean!
XOXO
I know, right?
DeleteI thought it was tasteful. My fav rooms are the bathroom and the sitting room. And I loooove the speakers!
XOXO
It lost me about halfway through. It reminded me so much on my parents' home when I was little. I LOVED that rippled round pie crust table. But that tile floor and kitchen would drive me insane. It's quirky and a tad crowded, but if I'm visiting him, I'm not opposed to a nice cocktail and gearing some Herb Albert and the Tijuanna Brass on the turntable.
ReplyDeleteIt's quirky but not me. I bit too retro. I like touches of styles and times, but can't immerse myself with all of it everywhere.
Hahahaha
DeleteI know, right? People who grew up in the eighties and nineties got to see these houses up and close. I would visit. Can you imagine a Mojito and Herb Alpert??? And a Bazilian?
Heaven.
XOXO
Can I imagine a Mojito and Herb Alpert??? And a Bazilian?
DeleteWhy yes, yes I can!
