Oh, On the Road..?
But it did make me think about those heteroflexible men from my youth… I used to have about one once a week. It really cured me of wanting anything to do with straight men.
I think this movie is worth a watch. Especially for the portrayal of hyper-masculinity it gives us and its influence on the way some people think being a “man” should be presented.

ReplyDeleteAh yes, hyper-masculinity. And those who will fuck anything that moves, then bet the shit out of them for coming on to THEM!

Except of a few brief shots, it seems more like a dialog driven drama than anything else.
ReplyDeleteTrucker culture; truckers will fuck anything but are so closeted they fuck and then attack.

Yet another underbelly of the straight man world. I had a brush once with a trucker when I stopped to use the restroom on the turnpike once. The guy was very scary. I made sure to get to my car and out of there quick. And I did hook up with a trucker one time but he was a friend that I knew for some time.
ReplyDeleteBig says,
ReplyDeleteA cautionary tale that should be taken to heart. Last night's 60 Minutes had an "interview" with wife-beater Dana White (UFC) where in he says right out loud that he not only supports toxic masculinity but champions it via his UFC. This is where the straight, white bigots want the country to return: They want to spout all kinds of anti LGBTQ bullshit while they go gat (and give) hand jobs and suck dick.
